Michael and I have stayed in Silves for the first time and knew that Bulldog Buggies were on the cards. Brilliant time from start to finish. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere for our safety briefing and play time with Alfie the dog before getting kitted out and on the buggies. We had a couple of hours driving around beautiful scenery with opportunities to stop, natter and learn about the area as well as catch our breath from laughing. What a great way to explore. We will be recommending this to friends and family who visit the area.

I took my six year old son and we hand nothing short of an amazing time. We went towards the end of October and so we got to go through huge puddles. The pictures were awesome. The Guide, Dan, knows his stuff and took us for a great ride. My son is six and he loved riding in the passenger seat as I would take us through huge puddles. We will definitely do this again if we are back in the Algarve.

Third time doing Bull Dog Buggies as a family and still as much fun as ever. Great tour with Jay seeing a few more wonderful views of the Monchiques and Silves. Youngest daughter drove for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was clearly explained by Dan before setting off (as he always does) and all went perfectly with great fun, lots of laughs, bumpy and very wet!! A great day out yet again. Thanks to you both.

We visited Bull Dog Buggies on the 17th November. The weather was set to rain and we were advised that it may not happen due to safety concerns. But luckily the weather heald off and we got the green light. Correspondance with the guide before we arrived was great, you can always get hold of him, and he doesnt beat around strawberry plants, just tells you how it is professionally.
When you arrive, the buggies are stored on a farm just outside of Alvor's former capital, silves, with alfie the dog greating you with his chew toy, and the mountains in the background, so your taste for off roading only increases.
You ARE given a safety briefing, and the dangers of this obviously dangerous motorsport are well conveyed. Paperwork is signed and before you no it, your sat in the buggies ready to go!
You are offered goggles & dust covers dependant to weather, strongly advise on goggles due to wind and mud etc. All the buggies feature a roll cage, 4-point harnesses and an automatic gearbox so you only need to press the loud pedal and your moving.
Your straight out of his complex, onto muddy tracks, having tonnes of fun, fording streams, spalshing through puddles and taking in the sights, that you will no doubt under-estimate before you get there.
You drive through all the different kinds of terrains, from forrest tracks, to slate covered river beds, to high up mountain trails, so the driving is NOT for everyone. You cant just turn up, having driven your renault clio around simple roads, and think its gonna be the same. You have to pay consideration to the safety of yourself, your passenger, and the other buggies around you. There will be hill climbs also, so if you are not sure on what to do or expect half way up it, dont attempt it.
Overall, its an awesome activity for your holiday, for all ages really, but drivers ideally need to be at least 5ft 5 to reach the peddles comfortably.
He does go on abit also about british drivers being the worst because we normally drive on the right, so if you are british, do go along and prove him wrong :)
