A well placed and well run hotel with good facilities and friendly and helpful staff.
It is clearly an older hotel that has been 'boutiqified' so under then skin you can see that; the bathrooms are pretty standard hotel types.

This is, to put it plainly , a 3 star hotel renovated and given a 4 star rating.
Social areas are nice and reception staff very helpful. Reasonably good lobby. Elevators are prehistoric and were not renovated..they are slow and noisy. Rooms are conveniently appointed, nothing more. Bathrooms oldfashioned, some amenities but in minuscule sizes, terrible towels sized for midgets. The great fixture in the hotel is the breakfast of high quality, with squeeze -it -yourself fresh orange juice and many varieties of fruit , cold meats ,cheese and eggs. The location is quite central but not the best in the city and the garage of the hotel is a trap you do not want to drive into! However right next door there is a big parking lot so parking is not a problem.

The As Americas Hotel is a very confortable hotel, in the city of Aveiro, just in the middle center of Portugal, just beside the Atlantic sea. Aveiro is know as the portuguese little Venice, a very good place to stay for a weekend.
The hotel is very beautiful, modern, the stuff was all excellent and kindly, the rooms are confortable and quiet, have flat tv and free wi-fi in rooms are lobby.
You also have a free parking, very nice cause you are in the city center.
Definitely a excellent choice for who want to stay a few days in Aveiro.

From the moment you walk into the foyer of this hotel, you know you will be comfortable. The reception area has the ability to be spacious and oozing a warmth of welcome at the same time. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful because we had a problem at the hotel we had originally booked in Aveiro. The welcome apero in the lobby was a thoughtful touch. We found it remarkably good value for money and it has stayed in our memory as well worth the stop over. It is within easy reach of the airport of Porto on the coastal route south. It was very convenient to have the underground car park. The room was comfortable and had all the usual amenities for an overnight stay. We were knocked out by the delightful breakfast in the spacious and classy dining room. There are plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance for an evening meal. Altogether very recommendable!

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights in February. The hotel is very clean, the staff pleasant, and the glass of port in the lobby is a nice touch.

Accessing the hotel is relatively easy with a GPS, and the underground parking is good.

My only complaint was the breakfasts, where the tray warmers for bacon and eggs were not lit, and the bacon and eggs were cold at 8:30. Seems like a simple problem to solve, with one of those sterno cans.

Otherwise, the stay was great, with a 15 minute walk to the fish market, which is really interesting.

The best thing about this hotel is its staff. They know how to welcome you from the moment you enter the hotel till you leave. I was astonished by the renovation although I did not like the style having found it two ornate for a modern decoration. The room was average but the bed was comfortable. The location is very good and the best thing about this hotel besides the staff is providing a breakfast in the historical building where they even have now a zen meditation room... I remembered staying there several years ago that they had freshly squeezed orange juice and they still have it. You squeeze the oranges yourself so there is no freshest juice than that. The free wi-fi did not work properly but I managed to see my emails in the business centre which you can also use for free.

I´ve stayed in this Hotel before and after the general renovation, and clearly improved in style and confort!
It´s situated in a small street 2 minutes walking distance from the main avenue of Aveiro.
Despite it´s more closer to the train station than the Ria or the main monuments and atractions, it is really easy to get anywere! It´s composed by 2 buildings: a little house in the Art Noveau Style, were´s situated the restaurant, bar, and a massage rooms, and a modern building were the reception, room and bars are. The main style is modern and trendy, with very friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms- despite the modern style and confort they have, there colud be a little better, specially the bathroom. The breakfirst buffet is nice with good quality (freshly squeezed orange juice!!!), but more variety but improve it. There´s a free parking garage!
Overall it´s a good hotel, confortable, nice staff.
