“What a nice surprise!”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

Excellent museum set in an old convent where you can see the old temple and fantastic ancient religious pieces and paintings. Don't miss this one if you're going to Aveiro. It´s situated next to the old "Sé" near city centre.

“Glad we went”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

Beautiful chapel and a large collection of paintings and sculptures that you are really close to. Even if you have seen a lot of churches and museums this one really leaves an impression.

“The destruction of an old building”
Reviewed 29 January 2013

For what was left of this extraordinary convent of dominican nuns, it is still an absolute must to visit. Otherwise it should exemplify the decadence and mediocrity of restorations that have been the norm in Portugal for the benefit of a few. There remains the extraordinary interior and even the new shrunk rooms have not the space to contain the old paintings.
