We had a long journey to the hotel and iy was extremely hot when we arrived, but the hotel was lovely and cool. Our room was spotless and peacfull. the view was spectacular. Our meal was nice but the menu is a little odd so choose wisely. The next morning we used the spa and pool which ws again lovely. We were so relaxed we almost stayed another day! The is a ruined castle nearby which is worth a visit.

The Hotel was very nice, we enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, the water and the ambience was very warm and we were the only ones there, in the late aftermoon. A big swimming pool and jacuzzi only for 3. The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was very good, with many diferents things for you to decided with kind of breakfast you like. Very Good for a 3* hotel.

The Hotel is located on top of a hill, near the castle, so the view from nearly every window is amazing! The city down bellow, trees, birds chirping and mountains at the distance make a perfect companion while you enjoy the sunset.

The swimming pool is fine, swimming caps are mandatory in many, if not all hotels in Portugal now, so not the hotel's fault.

The room was comfortable and large enough, so was the TV, by the way.
There is an assortment of foreign channels, something that you'll appreciate if you ever been abroad on a hotel with only local channels...

There was absolutely no noise around our room nor in the hotel during the 3 days and two nights we stayed there; it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
One day, on our return to the room we found a typical Easter treat waiting for us - so nice of them!

Finally, the best part, in our opinion, was the food!
We were lucky enough to have two buffet diners included in our stay, so we treated ourselves to the lovely variety of starters, the fish and meat main courses, and the exquisite traditional deserts the hotel's restaurant had to offer, not to forget the excellent local wines we were served!

Would we go back again? Tomorrow wouldn't be soon enough.

My husband and I were on a roadtrip through Portugal and ended up in Castelo Branco in the evening hours. We chose to stay at this hotel as there were not too many known options and it was just okay...
The room was comfortable, television was quite small, breakfast was alright but nothing special overall.
Not sure how the other options are in Castelo Branco but I would definitely recommend driving a little further (or stopping a little sooner) and experiencing a far more "Portuguese" town...

I stay in this hotel a weekend, and the rooms are +/- nice, and we have a pleasant experience. They have a great swimming pool and a spa, with sauna. Nice and hot. But... believe it or not, you MUST wear a swimming cap to go in the pool and jacuzzi! Anyone believe this? I travel a LOT and i never see this in any part of the world today. Maybe in the 70's? Very rude atittude...
