We chose this place on the internet; we wanted to stay in Coimbra at a central location with a car park. This hotel fit all our requirements. It was easy to find with our GPS. The front desk staff were helpful. Breakfast was fine, nothing special but tasty. The room was quiet. And we discovered we could easily walk to the many attractions in the city and could leave the car parked.

The check-in was extremely efficient and friendly. The car was taken to the car park (included). The room (201) was very small and the bathroom had a very awkward step in it. There is lots of traffic noise, but it did seem to abate overnight. It is very easy to walk into the town and the 108 bus stop which goes up to the university stops just outside- a definite plus as you get on at the beginning of the route.
Good breakfast, a buffet with fruit, (fake juice), bread, eggs, etc. a clean but crowded dining room.

Great location in Coimbra. Upgrade to superior room worth the cost for size & having a balcony. Service very pleasant & helpful. Secure car park close by which staff took car to and retrieved it when we were leaving. Breakfast buffet offered a good variety of choices which were regularly replenished. Carpet in room definitely needed a cleaning or replacement.

Room Tip: Ask for upgrade to superior room - cost worth it for the extra space.

A very good location with parking, nice breakfast but nothing special. Great for a nights stopover but pricey for what it offers. Staff pleasant and helpful. Downside was that we found it difficult to locate but we cant blame the hotel for that.......

We very much enjoyed our six-day stay at the Hotel Oslo.
Our luggage was taken up for us; we were offered a choice of three different rooms. We decided on a room on the first floor, looking out on the Av. Fernao de Magalhaes, a busy street, nevertheless we slept with open window. We only had to close it one time when there was a lot of noise coming from some drunks outside. There is air conditioning in the room, but we did not use it because temperatures were mild during our stay (first week of May).
The beds were good and firm; the bathroom was small but included an excellent hot shower. The bathroom seemed to be relatively new, no mouldy caulking like you often find in older hotel bathrooms. We had clean sheets and (very large!) towels every day. There was a free, easy to use safe in the room.
The breakfast room was spacy and there was a wide variety of sweet and savoury. A Saeco coffee machine provided excellent coffee and espresso. There was the usual very sweet orange juice, toast, sweet and savoury rolls, marmalade, cheese and cold meat, bacon and scrambled eggs, and fruit. You could take as much as you liked.
The hotel staff were all very helpful; especially Mr Madeira, the manager, who introduced us to a dinner-and-fado show and Carina, one of the receptionists, who gave us a lot of friendly advice about Coimbra and other sights to see.
The bar was on the first floor, makeshift and without much atmosphere; however, we heard that in a couple of months there will be a new bar opened on the fifth floor, overlooking Coimbra. The hotel reception and lobby was being renovated during our stay and was more spacious when we left.
The hotel has parking space in a garage across the street. When we arrived in our rental car, one of the staff took our car and parked it for us in the garage. After that, we had unlimited access to the garage. It seems that this parking space is even provided if you only stay for one day.
In general, this was a very good hotel, with very friendly staff and good facilities, at a good price. It is conveniently located near a string of restaurants, shops and the old town. We would certainly recommend it and stay there again if we ever go to Coimbra again.

This is a "modern" hotel close to the station, with everything in this small town within walking distance. Our superior double room for 85 euros was just adequate, with a fine view of scaffolding. We were not told the hotel is under renovation and it would be wise to check the situation beforehand. There was a general sense of cutting corners, with mean thin towels and plastic cups the only option for drinking. Breakfast was predictably mediocre; in a country which seems to revel in freshly squeezed orange juice, the "cordial" offered was shameful.
I am sure there are better choices.
