This hotel was plonked in the middle of nowhere (because it's a 1km walk from the main road to get to the actual property). With that said, it's perfect if you want peace and quiet. Rooms are best described as minimalist chic: Clean lines, no frills, open plan elegance. We went in late Spring so the bare, uncarpeted floor was a bit of a nuisance (fear not -- bedroom slippers are provided!). Service wise the staff are helpful and friendly. They make the best hot chocolate this side of Lisbon and the breakfast spread was commendable! We love the local cheese and every effort they made to provide local and seasonal fruits. The walk out of the hotel to the main road for some fun run or bicycling (you can rent a bike form the hotel) is pleasurable, and the scenes of Cascais' dunes and beach front is of course why we all come here. But that's just about it. It's a good hotel, no faults, but no lasting impression, either.
