I've never criticised anywhere before on-line but think it may be best to temper the good reviews with a cautionary word about this restaurant because we hunted it down on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews when we stayed in the area last week. It is more like a cafe with plastic chairs and it's pretty crowded. They forgot our starters completely and brought out our main courses instead... These were the first round of steaks (as some in the party arrived earlier than the second group) - they were beautiful and medium was medium to rare which was great, no problem with these so we didn't make a fuss about the missing starters, we just accepted the main courses and ignored the fact the starters didn't turn up. The second round of orders included a steak which was requested rare (not a hard dish to achieve) but it came very well done. Our friend sent it back but the second steak came back exactly the same; very well done... It tasted good to be fair (he was starving and didn't want to turn it away a third time) but it was brown all the way through again... The restaurant was mixed bag of people on a corner of a not particularly pretty part of the marina at the far end of the site and it would suit families with kids who make make noise and mess (there were quite a few there) - it's that sort of place. To be fair again; the manageress was absolutely lovely and apologised for all the things that kept going wrong for us (drinks orders mixed up too) and she took the overdone steak off the bill . I wouldn't say 'don't go' but I would say 'be careful' when you read the reviews and choose it knowing what it is and what you're getting. The price was average and the food was average. The pasta dishes were awful - really awful. It was the worst night of our holiday... There are so many lovely restaurants to go to you don't have to choose this one! Finally, the card machine failed after the pin had been entered. The staff took it away and produced another machine which required the whole pin process to be repeated, without issuing a void receipt and unable to produce one. We had to leave the restaurant hoping we wouldn't have a double bill charged to the debit card when we arrived back to the UK... This was not the most pleasurable or reassuring restaurant experience!
