My daughter and I stayed in the Pestana for 6 days. Initially we felt the location was somewhat outside the centre of Cascais but we realised that the courtesy bus with a most courteous driver did enable quick transfers to Cascais and to Guincho Beach. The hotel has a nice pool and sauna area. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. We booked a seaview room which was nice and the rooms were maintained daily and in very nice condition. the beds were very comfortable. It was an advantage that there was a fridge in the room along with a small kitchenette. We ate out each evening - taking a 20 minute walk into the centre where there were multiple choices of resturants and bars. Our favourite was on the marina - The Gordinni which served pizza, pasta, salad and great steaks at a reasonable price with a very friendly service. A taxi back from the town to thePestana costs €5. All is all the Pestana will suit couples and families but perhaps young people looking for the high life may prefer to stay in town or closer to Estoril.

A perfect place, near to oceanic shore. Nice rooms with a little kitchen and frizer . You can cook there yourself if you want ! I liked a lounge, chillout music was hearing all over a hotel space. Every place in the hotel is arranged with a good taste . I would love to be here again

We stayed five nights at the Pestana and overall were satisfied with it. The room was clean and the beds comfortable but it was quite narrow. We were a bit disappointed that our 'garden view room' actually looked out onto the carpark.
We were also a bit surprised that the rooms lacked what we assumed as standards in hotels of this class, such as complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms or an iron.
We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning and were more than happy with it; there are quite a lot of choices and we really liked the option of several fresh breads and local cheeses.
Overall we probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again because there are some many choices these days. However it is very good value for money and would probably suit families well.

Situation quit on the outskirts of Cascais. Free busrides through the day from hotel to centre and back. Large rooms with terras. Very Clean. Good beds. Good bathroom. Very good restaurant. Excellent service. Regrettably no washroom near restaurant. Waiting time for food in poolbar pretty long. Very friendly service.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Portugal and our stay at the Pestana Cascais. The hotel was very clean though, as others have mentioned, the furnishings were a bit worn but this was not a problem for us. The hotel was out of the centre but we enjoyed the walk in to town (and if we were not feeling quite so energetic we would take the hotel courtesy bus - very friendly driver). The outdoor pool was a good size for a swim and wasn't too busy! Plenty of sunbeds available and shade! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we found the breakfast to be good, lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheese, ham, hot food (eggs, beans, mushrooms, bacon) not to forget the muffins and croissants! The breakfast room could be busy but that is because the guests seem to descend at the same time - it was served from 7am to 10.30am so if you went earlier it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed several trips out on local transport (to Lisbon and Sintra). Overall we had a great time and have returned home relaxed and longing to be back in the sun!
