“Jantar no Taj Mahal Cascais”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

The food was excellent, we ate the entries and did not take long until the main dish.

Very good service; inviting decoration and ambience; very clean WC, much better than the majority of street portuguese restaurants, I was really impressed with the restroom hygiene. Typically what happens is that you have diner at a splendid place and when you go to the restroom you feel disapointed. It was not the case!

“I was under-whelmed”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

The aroma of the Taj Mahal is what captured my wife and I. We were hesitant because of the mixture of Indian and Italian food, but we hadn't eaten good Indian food in a while so we decided to make a trip back to Cascais from Loures for some Indian food. Unfortunately, the food and service was merely average. My wife ordered a chicken khorma and I ordered the saag chicken. Both of us ordered garlic naan, and we both felt that the food was 'underwhelming'. It wasn't that the food was bad, but it didn't live up to it's aromatic heritage. It was a weak khorma and the saag chicken and naan all lacked the flavor I was expecting. All in all, it was a forgettable experience. All that being said, if you have babies, they do have infant high chairs which was nice. Still, we won't be returning.

“Lovely evening”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

What a brilliant idea to have a cross over of Indian and Italian food , my partner is a fussy eater so after 20 yrs together I finally got him into a Indian restaurant . 6 of us all shared a variety of different dishes and after his pasta dish he got brave . All of the food was lovely staff very helpful and couldn't do enough . We would all go back . Worth a visit

“Food was fine but nothing special”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 via mobile

Perhaps we have been spoiled by the standard of our local Indian in the UK but we found this restaurant to be okay but not noteworthy. The staff were courteous rather t4han friendly, the food not as spicy as promised and the plates were cold. But the food was fine and I did enjoy my mango curry. Was just a little surprised by all the rave reviews from others.
