I was there with my 120 colleauges. We have spent three wonderfull nights and days there.
Everything was so fancy, new, clean, smelled fresh. The rooms were huge, bathrooms also. Some of us had a stunning view from their windows, even though I did not have it, it was not so important as the hotel had hundreds of other nice places to hand out.

Breakfast was wonderful. So many things to choose from: eggs, pancakes, omlets, scrumbled eggs, sallads, yogurths, cakes, you name it. My problem was that we were not so hungry after parting all evenings :)

Staff was just great, smiling, being there when they were needed.

Pool-area was great. Everything is modern and fresh.

Hotel is full of great art works. It must be somebody with a really great taste in decoring the hotel.

I loved that the hotel is close to the beach and there is a nice beach-path both to Cascais and Estoril (5 km in total). Good for a run or a power walk.

Thank you for our wonderful days in Cascais. Unforgetable!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Extremely helpful staff, fantastic breakfast, huge rooms with the largest bed we have ever had and a fantastic view to the sea (from 5th floor room). Housekeeping exemplary. Easy 10 minute walk via a safe underpass to the beach, and a 15 minute walk to the town where there are numerous restaurants. Supermarket about 10 minute walk (turn right on coming out of the hotel).
Only down side was that the outside pool was absolutely freezing, so we only used it once. However, what do you expect in September?!
I doubt we will return to Portugal, but if we do we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are worth the extra money

This hotel really pushes themselves taking pride in delivering a first class service. Regardless of what staff member you're in touch with you are always met by an utmost professionalism, courtesy and a very serviceminded attitude.

The view is spectacular from all rooms facing the water, regardless what floor you're on.

One of their strongest attributes are however their food. I have only tried the Oasis restaurant where you have a tough challenge to choose what to eat from the massive tasty buffet, both for breakfast and for lunch. You won't leave disappointed, overwhelmed is more like it.

It's easy to recommend Cascais Miragem to anyone who wants a first class hotel.

We are a couple with a 1 year old baby, and we stayed at hotel Miragem for 3 nights in August, to celebrate our anniversary.

The Miragem is an amazing hotel, but a few critical aspects of our stay were very disappointing for an expensive 5 star hotel.

We'll mention these negative aspects first:
- The water in the swimming pool was FREEZING. This was the case also for the baby pool. The water was so cold that we (including our baby) didn't go into the pool at all during our stay. Relaxing by the pool was supposed to be our main activity, and it was a lot less fun without being able to cool off in the pool.

- The sea isn't very accessible from the hotel. It's a ~10 minute walk, so it's not very convenient as an alternative to the pool. Also, the hotel doesn't own a section of the beach, so it's a public beach and was extremely crowded when we were there.

- The pool restaurant was very disappointing - the service was very slow and the dishes were small & expensive. Eating with a baby isn't easy, but waiting 40 minutes until she received her dish (a bowl of rice...) made it very difficult.

- The WiFi reception at the pool area is awful. Most of the time our phones had no WiFi reception.

- The city center is a 15 minute walk away. It doesn't sound like much, but it's enough to make it a time investment if you want to go there for lunch, so we usually ate at the disappointing pool restaurant.

- The reception screwed up on a few different occasions. We asked them to make reservations for us in restaurants a few times. They failed in all of their attempts. They make you fill out a form instead of booking the restaurant on the spot. One of the times, we passed by the restaurant a few hours later, and discovered that they hadn't placed the order and that there was 1 place left. We reserved it. We returned to our room later to discover a message saying the reception failed to make the booking.
And their biggest screw up was that we asked them on the morning of our checkout to book a taxi for the airport for a few hours later. We arrived at the front desk ready for our taxi, and discovered no taxi was ordered by the hotel.

Now, the positives:
- It's an amazing hotel. Very well maintained. Big clean rooms. We had a great view and a nice balcony. They also gave us a cute crib.
- The hotel staff surprised us and sent us chocolates and champagne for our anniversary.
- Room service was great, we ordered a nice meal to our room.
- The staff tried to help us about the freezing water by giving us an inflatable pool for our daughter. It was nice for her and she liked it. But unfortunately it didn't solve the problem for us.
- Breakfast was amazing. There was loads of variety. Huge amount of choice. The food was high quality.
