Party of three, starters, main and dessert. Such a fun night, with good food and helpful service. Coming back so that’s best compliment

The family restaurant has an intimate feeling and top cleanliness. We had a plate of grilled seafood (shrimp and squid) and grilled octopus that was delicious. Also as a bonus homemade desserts specific to Portuguese cuisine (pineapple Tiramisu and a drier cake). Wine was also very good (white with fruity flavor in carafe).

If you prefer your restaurant to have at least *some* frills, you might go away feeling shortchanged. Starters are offered as a matter of course but have to be paid for (we chose the bread basket - mostly shop-bought Melba toast, it seemed - and local ham and cheese) and the drink order quickly follows. The house wine has a kick to it, so if you only order a small carafe, beware: while nothing special, it's easy to quaff, especially if you're the only one drinking it!

The mains were so-so: I took the pork, which was essentially pan-fried bits of ham served with French fries and a wedge of lemon; my partner took one of the three fishes of the day (dorada, which he enjoyed, but shunned the accompanying vegetables, boiled to death as they were, and potatoes "we'd feed to the pigs at home"). Starters, two mains, one shared dessert, a small carafe of house wine and two beers set us back €39.

Service was friendly without being OTT. Family operation.

We had different dishes, fish and meat, and everything was fantastic!
First we wanted to sit outside, but there was no space anymore (all places full), but it is also nice inside with all the clocks, hats, signs etc. at the walls!
We are going to come back soon!
