The place itself is nice. But good and staff are not nice.
Reasonable prices but you can get much better Portuguese food in a couple of places around.
Not worth to go back

This is an excellent restaurant and the best we've been to in Portugal. The atmosphere, service and food and as near perfect as anyone could expect at the world finest places, let alone in a small village.

We arrived as a group of 6 and one child at 9:30pm last Saturday evening. There was a couple who had arrived just before us and we're also waiting to be seated. They were assigned a table and given a menu. When it came to our turn, the man who was assisting the tables, and I'm assuming, the owner, tells us there are no more tables available... and that the restaurant is closed.

There were empty tables, both on the outside patio and inside dining room, and after waiting over 10 minutes to be seated, the last thing we were expecting was to be unpleasantly kicked out of the restaurant. My husband even asked if he was joking, as we were all truly not expecting this and the man not only became agrivated, but actually shouted, "What, do you think I'm lying? We're closed."

This was by far the most surreal experience I have ever come across and our group left shocked while everyone dining also seemed to have question marks over their heads.

I had been there once before in 2015 for lunch and the food was nice and fresh. The service didn't stand out as good nor bad in any way, but after this situation I will never place foot in that door.

We ended up having an excellent dinner that evening at Toca do Julio, just down the street, the service was great and they had no problem seating us at 9:45pm. As a matter of fact, the waiters were so nice with our group that we ended up leaving a huge tip for them.

We visited this place with a local tour guide 'Lisbon Riders'. Our guide ordered the food so I can't really say how you would get on if your language is English. Having said that, this is a family owned place and they are very friendly. The menu has a good selection of meat and fish which is cooked by a charming lady on the charcoal grill outside. We had a selection of pork, beef and Sea Bass.
