If you have questions, how to get here?
If you are from Lisbon airport, take Subway to Cais du Sodre (take red line and get off at Almeda Station and take green line and get off at last station)-(€1.90) and take train to Cascais direction and stop at Monte Estril station (€2.15)-(make sure you check the schedule, some trains are not stopping at this station and leave every 20minutes), and it's about 10 minutes walking distance. For first timer, once you get off the train, pls ask people around for direction, it's easy to find, unless if you arrive in nite time, well ..it's a problem, it's quiet already. But if you are hesitate to do the steps, an easy way, take a shared van (€30 per person one way). (At this moment, 1Euro=USD0.67)

Honestly, people at the information booth at airport or train station, they are not helpful, and in the polite way to say, one will tell different than others, so get ready to grab maps, (you can have them at Tourist information desk at arrival side), and be your own guide, trust me, it's easy, what you only need is courage. There are 2 information desks at arrival hall, don't waste your time at Information Booth, go straight to front forward next to it, Tourist Information Booth ,you will see big sign, they will assist you in better manner so to say.

If you reserve a van, please make sure you book at least 72hours prior arrival or otherwise you won't see your name on placard at arrival hall to pick you and seriously none will care and get ready to have € to make several phone calls and another thing..., you can't present your transportation voucher, it's your bad luck, so no printer is not a good excuse this time.

And before I jump to hotel observation, one thing you must always remember, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT anywhere you spend your €€€ period. Bad things may happen unexpectedly and you have proof. OK, let's move on...

It's a beautiful town, it's nice little neighborhood (I assume this hotel location is still called Monte Estoril). Put it this way,if you wanna relax and think you don't wanna be crazy with all bustling in the city town, this is what you need, although Cascais is much better in surrounding since you will find eateries and things you need easier, and they are both romantic city and very clean, people are more lay back and more friendly. The beach is just right there too..., woohoo ...

Of course Not all hotels in the area cost you around USD100 per nite based on double/twin sharing, or over, which in my opinion, it's really really overpriced. If you are on the go person, ready for adventures and you just need room to sleep since you will be out anyway, just find a place that offers you a comfy room and bathroom with AC/Heater, that's all you need, don't waste your $$$, and it's way cheaper.

Our room is not ready when we arrive at hotel, it's not a huge hotel, so bellboys are not available but it's so relaxing you can feel right away from the surround ambiance. Beautiful pool that you see from lobby, it's really cute..., the place itself creates tranquility. If you room is not ready, you can opted to go to Spa on location , it's Thai Spa, it's reasonable price as well, from €25...(we are in Portugal not Asia, so please don't compare the price..lol).

When you book you room, please make sure you check what kind of room you choose and whether including breakfast or not, as well the WiFi.
Our room is so cute , Junior Suite, two singe beds that placed together, nice bathroom with tub, toilet, sink and bidet, a comfy sofa at living room, dine table, kitchen, both TV in bedroom and living room with blackout curtain, telephone and balcony that you can relax. It's no smoking property so smoking is permitted in designated area like outside the hotel.
Although hair dryer and liquid soaps are provided in the bathroom, you may want to grab yourself other stuff like your simple toiletries before you get here (such as shampoo, conditioner,toothpaste/brush, kind like that). And it's great light, not to bright or dark, perfect.

It's nice people that work here, friendly and helpful, like amazing Frederico and nice Suzanna, ask them what you need to know, they will try their best to assist you. Hey, not a lot of peeps like they are in this town, I can guarantee you that.

I love what I am offered here (my priority is the clean bathroom).
The only thing that I don't like is the bed, that's it, it's kind a firm and I'm not able to sleep comfortably but some people of course like it, it's just preference.
Other than that,I think the tub need to be shined or polished and the drainage need to be fixed, I don't like waters flow in my ankle tho.

You can relax yourself too when having breakfast, from toast, yogurt, beans(my favorite) scrambled eggs, fruits, salami, mini dogs, ham are there to try, from cappuccino ,chocolate, tea, it's adequate. I mean, good size for breakfast, nice staff makes your appetite even more enjoyable.

Kitchen: from microwave to oven, what you need is just right there, even the plates, glass, etc, and remember that there is cleaning fee for that if you use them.
Linen: the hotel will change it for you in every 2days or otherwise there is a fee.
So please make sure you read the fine line at whatever the website you try to purchase.
Hallway: it's dark, it's a saving energy kind a thing, there is flickering outside the lift or your room, so you won't have problem at all but at least now you know where to find because they don't tell ya.
Pool Towel: there is €1 fee to rent and €10 for deposit for a day, bring your beach towel if it's too much for ya.
Safety Box: inform concierge and there is a fee to use it.

Tips: from here you can enjoy history, take train and stop at Belem or take taxi to Cascais (€5) for dining experience and souvenirs shop, or take a cab (€5), enjoy wild nite at Casino Estoril (smoking permitted).

Overall:
It's LGBT Friendly.
I love what I see and experience, I have amazing stay in this property, great staff make your stay more enjoyable and that's for sure. I wish that this property has just standard kind a bed tho, not to soft nor firm. I don't feel cramp in the room which is great (spacious). Wood floor in bedroom and tile the rest of it. It's claimed as 4stars in Portugal, and in my opinion, in America, this is more like 3stars and in Asia is likely 2stars or guest house style, or Bed Breakfast type in South America.
Regardless what stars, again I love this place and emphasizing how nice the staff which is very important in tourist business to offer great customer service.
One thing I hope or expect that the hotel can lower the rate, because there are several choices around the area for same kind of quality or better and cheaper too, and also great location or landmark. Thank you for letting me and the family to experience at your property.

Room Tip: Ask concierge for what kind of room you will get, they are friendly and helpful.

Myself and my Husband just returned home from Esteril and found this hotel to be good place to stay. It is close to two local train stations and local buses to other areas also close by.Esteril is a peaceful and laid back town and the area is very nice and scenic. you can walk into Caiscais along the sea front in about 15mins and there is lots of shops, pubs, shopping centre and places to eat. The indoor pool and jacuzzi are very relaxing and with it being march I had this area to myself! All the reception staff are excellent with any queries you may have but I must express a huge thank you to Fatima Maria who is the lady who works in the downstairs bar. She is an asset to the hotel and went above and beyond giving us advice about how to get to places and things to do in the local area as well as Lisbon. We felt like we had made a new friend! Very enjoyable stay indeed and had lovely view from third room balcony overlooking the outdoor pool which I was not brave enough to try! Thank you to all staff in hotel, especially Fatima.

Room Tip: Stay on third or fourth floor for nice view

I had no information about the hotel but I am pleased it has proven to be an excellent hotel, comfortable, clean, secure not chaotic, well organized, with very efficient and very well disposed staff. I could have not asked for a better place.

If you wanted to go to the beach , it is a 10 minutes walk down and then up a teep road to the ocean but given the place it is probably worth staying here anyway.

Did not have the buffet breakfast because I prefer having it as soon as I get up so I had in the room, where the kitchenett is spacious and well equipped

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the pool of course are scenic

We had a superlarge room in this Club, the 100m2 appartment is really big. Furtinure and design is a little outdated but mantained well. Equipment of the kitchen was not complete, not all items to cook a meal were available.
Pool is really nice but very cold, the indoor pool is not always open, two block of two hours each day.
Cleaning was average but after mentioning this at the reception the cleaning was spotless. Personel is really helpfull.
Location is ok, beach is a little far away. Neighbourhood is clearly a rich part of the city.

Room Tip: the 100m2 appartment is huge, lots of empty space. It does make it a little sterile (is that correct...

Just returned home after spending 1 week at this hotel. Overall it was a very nice experience. It is indeed far from the beach, but we never went to the beach in Estoril anyways. It's a walking distance to Cascais from where you can take a bus to one of the very good surfing places on the coast.
The personal is very kind - they even prepared us the breakfast on the last evening as out pickup ride was too early.
The breakfast could be a bit more diverse, as one can get tired of the same food every single morning.

Room Tip: Rooms with view to the pool would be quieter

Four us went on a last minute break to Estoril and stayed at the Clube do Largo Hotel. We were delighted with our rooms - large, comfortable and well-equipped with a nice little kitchenette and a balcony big enough for us all to sit, play cards and have a drink in the evening when we came in. The pool area though small, is very pleasant - the only thing is that they do not provide towels which we would expect from a 4 star hotel. Also the pool bar was not open for drinks or snacks which was a pity. We were slightly worried having read other reviews, about the distance from the town and the steep roads. We ranged in age from 66 - 76, one asthmatic and one who had open heart surgery in the last 12 months, and it was not a problem. When we didn't feel like the walk back up, we got a taxi. It was never any more than 5 euros whever we came from. Breakfast too was good with plenty of choice of continental breakfast and limited hot food.

We had good meals in various restaurants at very reasonable prices, but our favourite was Baluka, just along the boardwalk from Monte Estoril station. We went twice, the fish was excellent and the fried prawns to die for! Strongly recommend. Also the snack bar attached to the hotel does a good light meal and has wonderful cakes and pastries!

We had an excellent holiday and hope to return.

Clube Do Lago is a very nice 4*hotel with major disadvantage:its location.
It is worth "very good" overall rating, but because of its location, it is only "average".
The hotel is quite far away from the beach, restaurants and main shopping centre.
What is more, you have to walk up the hill. Save the location, it would have been a great hotel. The room was clean and spacious, equipped with a small fridge, kettle, and a nice balcony. Breakfast was basic but tasty. The pool area is very pleasant, although you will not get the sun there for the whole day.I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a comfortable and quiet place, preferably with a car.
