“Very good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

This is a great hotel. Very good service. Rooms are a bit older, but we had a nice view on the swimming pool with a terrace and we were in walking distance of the beach. It's a little hard to find restaurants in the neighborhood. The hotel restaurant is good though and not that badly over priced. Very nice spa also and good breakfast.

It is a very nice hotel and golf course. We have stayed there 10 times and keep coming back one or two times a year. The staff are very friendly and the service fine in the restaurants it offers a fantastic breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: Suites by pool have to much noise.

It is a great Hotel with the flavour of of famous people who were there and you can join the situación that the Hotel has. Rooms are nice and it is good if you can afford a suite. Beautiful gardens and really near of the casino in case you want to gamble . Breafast is very good and all people working there were very nice . Sunset from the swimming pool is very relaxing.

Room Tip: Suites are the best option looking to the swimming pool and the sea.

Wonderful stay at Palacio in Estoril. The location is just by the Estoril beach and gardens of the Casino, but the hotel itself is an oasis of glamour and old world charm with a huge swimming pool and garden to enjoy the summers days. They upgraded us to a suite which was very nice of course, breakfast is great filled withhealthy things but also excellent pastries. Staff very welcoming and nice to deal with. Very child friendly with a kids club, so us grown ups could relax in peace. Very romantic decoration and the hotel itself is beautiful in a very grand Grace Kelly era style. Had a facial at the Spa which was really first class, cant recommend this hotel enough. Actually sitting by the pool now as Im writing this to a gloriously warm late afternoon.

Room Tip: When you make the reservation ask for a non smoking room with the request for an upgrade if availabl...

Wonderful hotel with superb breakfast, best pot of tea I've had in Europe! Staff very friendly and helpful. Standard bedrooms were a little on the small side and no tea or coffee making facilities but both bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. The pool was not heated but very pleasant and plenty of very comfy sun beds! Location great for exploring surrounding area, 40 mins on the train into Lisbon (the station is 2 minutes walk from hotel) lovely walk into caiscais, about 30 minutes or 7 euros in a taxi. Nearby Sintra is a must and easy to reach by bus, bus stop is outside rail station. Entry to the banyan spa is complimentary for hotel guests and a perfect end to the day. The Thai massage, whilst chargeable, was fab! We stayed a week but coud have stayed longer.
Our only gripe really was that there is no complimentary water available during the day.

entrance impressive, massive ceilings, decor immaculate- blend of toned fuchsia with beige and gold, huge dining hall, crisp linen changed for every customer, service beyond expectation. Breakfast- huge selection of hot and cold food, cheeses, ham a little less good, pastries, yoghurts, lots of fresh fruits and fresh drinks. good selection of teas and coffees. concierge and doorman long long standing staff- that must say something! Had room with balcony, large room, good bathroom, toiletries good quality, robes and slippers, weather notes from the house maid, chocolates every day. v nice garden, pool a bit 'cool', plenty of sunbeds, big blue towels. a tad expensive bar and drinks by the pool- but it is estoril. the only thing that lets it down: clientele, we had a scottish family close by that argued violently for a few days, screaming and shouting, a drunk guy that got stark naked by the pool, throwing tantrums and bottles on the floor, a few less savoury characters at breakfast. Shame

This was our 2nd visit to the Palacio, but for longer this time as we enjoyed it so much the first. This is a genuine 5 Star hotel, with superb staff and management. Breakfast is superb, the staff are happy caring and friendly, the doorman has been the doorman at this hotel since 1951 and is one of the world's longest serving hotel employee's. The decor and public rooms are grand but the hotel never feels large and sprawling. The Spa is one of the best we have been too and is attached to the hotel, brand new within the last few years. The pool is superb and is a newly refurbished overflow pool. My only criticism from last year was slow internet service and patchy coverage around the hotel, this has now been fixed and is great now covering the entire hotel and pool area. We will come back next year for longer!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room as you get a sea view
