This location is perfect for a base to tour the Lisbon area by any means...on foot, bus, train or by tours. Nearby restaurants, bakeries and a modern full-service supermarket crossed the street (with an amazing supply of Portugal wines!!) made it even better. Ricardo was helpful in all aspects even with his suggestion of using Uber to take a scenic beach/mountain route to Porto...worked out great.
Be aware though. if stairs is an issue, this unit is NOT for you as there is a full flight of circular stairs from the elevator lobby to the penthouse.
This apartment was a great choice. The owner is very friendly and, before arrival, provides helpful information about the apartment's location and Lisbon itself.
The apartment is very handily located in a nice area near a metro stop on a direct line from the airport. A very convenient supermarket is directly opposite. The apartment is very well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. It's more spacious than the photos suggest and the terrace is fantastic.
Without doubt, when we are next in Lisbon we would look to book here again and I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone.
Located in a relatively quiet part of the city, but with good access by foot and metro to all the main attractions. There is a metro station within a couple of minutes walk and it only takes 30 minutes to walk down into the city centre. The entrance to the building is unprepossessing, wedged between a car rental office and other offices, and the lobby is fairly utilitarian, but there is a good lift to the fifth floor, where you enter an extremely stylish and well furnished roof-top apartment.
The apartment is very well-equipped, with good quality furnishing and fittings. The terrace, which was in sun from mid-morning through to relatively late in the evening, is a wonderful place to sit and relax. One of the real bonuses is the quietness of the apartment at night, and we were undisturbed by any noise. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom are all comfortable, light and airy, with views across the city in several directions.
Gulbenkian Park and its two excellent museums and cafes/restaurants is only about 15 minutes walk away, and the park itself is wonderfully tranquil. Indeed, the various parks we visited were all most enjoyable, especially Praca do Principe Real. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the streets and lanes of the city, particularly those that were slightly off the main tourist beat. The market at Mercado de Campo de Ourique was, in our view, more authentic and enjoyable than the much better known Mercado da Ribeira. Shopping whilst at the flat could not have been easier with a very good Continente supermarket a minute away.
Cattes and Ricardo were the perfect hosts, unobtrusive but always there to help and advise when needed. The information provided before our visit was extremely useful.
We can't recommend the apartment and Lisbon more highly!
Fabulous stay. Apartment is wonderful. A lovely haven after a days sightseeing. Would definitely stay there again.
We could not have been happier with this apartment! It was lovely. Very clean and large compared to most other European apts. we have stayed in. My teenage girls were thrilled with the terrace and the chic feel. Highly recommend!
