This hostel is absolutely amazing, the staff is friendly and the location great. The breakfast is very tasty and there there are always nice people around. The only downside is the bad internet connection, but that isn't a real problem...

Room Tip: Rooms to the inner yard are quiter

Located in the most beautiful quarter of the city. Extremely creative and cozy place. People treat you so friendly and helpful, that from the first moment you feel at home. Breakfast is varied and delicious. They have also quality and cheap drinks that you can consume between very interesting and nice people. The place is a landmark in Lisbon. Highly recommended!

Loved the location of this hostel, off the narrow cobbled streets of Alfama, along the 28 tram line and just a short walk to the town centre (where you can get another tram no.15 to Belem) if getting pickpocketed on the busy no.28 trams is not your idea of a good time!
Like most things in Alfama, the hostel is similarly small, pokey and narrow (reconsider your 20kg suitcase!). The dorm rooms are compact and the bathrooms even more so, but they are clean and modern and I didn't have an issue with inconsiderate fellow guests here.
As the hostel is attached to some other properties, the appeal of the place for many (it seemed) was the hosted events between the properties.
In addition to the great location and hugely friendly staff, the relaxed courtyard and patio, with its water views, are a major drawcard. However, I can't see this being a great place to stay in weather any less than glorious sunshine!
Would recommend. Would stay again.

The review's have been come true! I got the most warmth welcome in my whole Spain/Portugal trip. Just to say, it's in the best part of Lisbon :P

But the best part of this hostel is the inner courtyard, people are relaxed, it's small so you easy get in touch with other travellers - cook together, enjoy a Fado show..

If you ever get back you get a 10% discount

This hostel has been the best one I have ever stayed in. The bunk beds are wooden so they don't make a noise whenever you move. The mattress and pillow are comfortable. Would recommend the Sintra tour. The pub crawl was a bit disappointing but it was good place to meet other people. The breakfast is really good and so is the nightly dinners. The showers were always hot and always clean. The staff were always very friendly and up for a chat and made an effort to get to you know and remember your name and where you are from and what you are doing. The patio is also a great place to meet people. The rooms get a bit hot as no air con but I was there during the summer. Would definitely recommend.

The first thing that struck me about the hostel was the friendly atmosphere. We arrived there around midnight, and all the people we passed on the way up to the room said "hello" to us. The staff were friendly and caring. I think their first question to me was "How are you". I believe this hostel is perfect if you travel alone, you come easy in contact with others and the hostel give opportunity to attend different activities.

I was pleased with the breakfast, there were many different things to choose (the pancakes and fruits were mye favorites). The outdoor seating area was lovely, and enjoying the breakfast there was making the mornings good!. The location of the hostel is very nice, there are a lot of small narrow, old streets.

This is a hostel I can recommend other travellers.

Ingrid

I really loved this place. I booked it following the nice reviews and now I totally agree with them. If you travel alone, you will not be bored! The international atmosphere is great! As you share the room with the guys al over the world. Among the advantages are nice location, delicious pancakes for breakfast, friendly stuff! Joana and Lucas are very nice guys, always willing to help! This hostel arranges free walking tours and one-day trips to the neighbor towns as Sintra and others. I would recommend that place to everyone who travels to Lisbon.
