We stayed here on a city break and chose the hotel because of its central location at the southern end of the city below the main shopping areas and in the commercial district. It's not been open all that long and has a good contemporary feel to it - i.e. no chintzy stuff or floral designs. Just a good blend of complementary colours with nice design touches - for example, the good range of adjustable lighting options in the bedroom, all at the touch of a button.
The rooms are not particularly spacious but they are big enough for two with large, very comfortable beds and different options available for pillows. If you arrive with masses of clothes, you'll be pushed to find hanging and storage space - three hangers in the 'wardrobe' which was more like a cupboard. Our room had a rain shower rather than a bath, but this was fine and everything worked as it should. No noise intrusion from the street which was busy by day but quiet at night.
The breakfast was excellent. You would be hard pushed not to find something that would suit you whether it were hot or cold. Other than the usual services such as booking restaurants for you, the hotel had no communal lounge areas or, given its location, leisure facilities or access to the roof for the view. That said, we were there to sightsee and so this was not a disadvantage at all.
Transport is in adjacent streets - tram 28 to the Cathedral and Castle to the east and tram 15 to Belem in the west. The latter is a 'must see' visit - take a day for it.. Buy the Lisboa card if you want to travel and sightsee as it'll save you money in the long run.
Another bonus for Lisbon is an airport that's close - a metered taxi transfer will cost you about 15-20 Euros.
