“Centrally placed but poor quality.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2014 via mobile

One sentence can sum up our experience, overpriced, over hyped and over cooked. The prawns in the omelette were rubbery and tasteless as was one persons monkfish ,to quote just like chewing tasteless rubber. The Cataplanas ordered were acceptable. The wines ordered were very very average , all in all a big disappointment for a lot of money.

“Fresh and very good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

It's pretty expensive, but the food is very good. Appetizers are served without asking, so it's easy to get full before you get to the main course. The menu's different for fado nights, not in the content but in prices, everything is more expensive.

“expensive but good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014

We lunched twice at this restaurant, in spite of it being a little overpriced. Octopus was excellent and we couldn't really fault the other fish dishes. They bring you a "starter" which you could take or leave. It does make it even more pricey and is just average. Service is done without a smile and rather abrupt, but we got that a lot while in Lisbon. Stick to the local wine. It was still a relaxed atmosphere.

“Local view in more ways than one”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014 via mobile

Took the advice of the local optometrist 2 streets away as we could see there were a number of Tourist Trap eateries in the area and unsure what to do.....we had spotted this as it looked clean an organised.
We ate a main each mainly Cod based with a basket of bread a bottle of wine and some beers and soft drinks for 100 Euro - 4 people.
Good quality, great service ( be a aware the starters that are forced on you ) we said no and trust me you don't need them!!
Sat back, relaxed, talked and laughed with no pressure to leave.
Worth the stop after 5 hours walking and tram riding around Lisbon.
