from the moment i arrived last year, i was very pleasantly surprised. great welcome from the english speaking staff, who were quick to check me in and lead me straight to my room. the room itself was very comfortable and clean, with all the mod cons. air conditioning, useful safe, hot shower and big bed. i'me very grateful to the friendly cleaner who showed me how to use the swipe card to turn the lights on. i'd highly recommend the hotel to young travellers as well as families and couples. nice and quiet for businesspeople too. the free wifi was very welcome but i had no need as i was out most of the day. i'me just sorry i have taken so long to write a review. hope this helps anyone. thanks for reading.

Room Tip: you are better off choosing a room at the front where you have a balcony and a much better view. the...

Comfortable and very clean room, excellent breakfast, free internet.
5 minutes away from 2 metro lines with direct connections to city center.
No problems with noise from the street.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I booked my stay back in August based off of TripAdvisor reviews; but when I looked at another review website only a week before my travel-- I became worried about staying. Absolutely no reason to have worried. The staff was VERY friendly; the room (401) was large with a balcony! Approx. 8-10 euros to get to/from airport/hotel. Metro line (red/green) with a 5-minute walk (downhill, so walking back up to the hotel is necessary). The breakfast had something for everyone; breads, cereals, eggs/sausage, juices/coffee/tea, etc. The cost (3-night stay to include New Years Eve) was very reasonable; included breakfast daily.

Only negative is the WiFi connection is spotty (sometimes non-existent from the 4th floor up); was informed that the hotel is working on getting each floor accessibility. There is a common room on the 1st floor that WiFi works without hesitation!

I would DEFINITELY stay at this hotel on my next trip to Lisbon! Beautiful city, great hotel!

Enjoy!

We have stayed twice now that this hotel. We have used it as an overnight stop on our way south. It is exceptional value for money and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to two metro stations, so a trip to downtown is very simple and cheap. They recommended the italian restaurant opposite, Pepe & Oliva, which was great.

Will not hesitate to stay again, when we visit lisbon for a longer stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in 503 which was quiet and comfortable.

We had a lovely stay here. Our room was spotlessly clean, quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The room was really nice, it looked like it had recently been refurbished. The staff were really helpful and friendly. My husband injured his foot and they brought some ice to the room for us to put on his foot. The next day we bought a big bag of ice and they were happy to let us keep it in their freezer and on request they would bring us some ice. So they were very helpful indeed! The location is handy for the metro station, Alameda, it's about 10 minutes into the centre town and about 20 minutes to the airport. The breakfast is pretty reasonable at just €6.

Room Tip: We stayed at the back of the hotel and we had a balcony. I think it is probably quieter than the fro...

It's a nice quite and clean hotel 5 Metrostations away from the city. We stayed on the 5th floor. We find the hotel on bookings.com but we had a car so we booked directly on the web page of the hotel because it includes parking and breakfast. If you reserve on bookings.com or other second sellers you have to pay extra for the parking place. The receptionist was a nice young guy who spoke english very well and you can feel that he loves his city :) he couldn't stop talking about lisboa and the things we should visit it was a warm welcome to lisboa and he provide us with good ideas.

The walk to the Metrostation is easier downhill so you walk left when you leave the hotel till the Metrostation Alameda and then use the metro 5 stations till Rossio. If you don't want to walk up the hill when you return just change the metro on Alameda-Station and walk to the redline Station and use that for one station to Olaias then you can walk downhill to the hotel.

On our walk to the Metrostation Alameda downhill we find a nice and cheap Portuguese Snack-Bar
in the street "Rua Actor Isidoro" on the right side so just leave the Jardim da Alameda on the left. In the street you'll find it on the left side.

We spent 3 nights in October 2012 in this hotel. It's 2-star hotel with modern-equipped, comfortable rooms. The hotel has favorable location between two metro stations: Olaias and Alameda (5 minutes walk). It's easy to get there from airport (red metro line from Airport to Alameda station) and it's convenient to get to the main atractions of the city (by red or green metro lines from Alameda station). Additionally the rooms are quiet but the biggest asset of the hotel are their employees. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. They can speak at least 3 languages. We comunicated in English but I've heard the staff could speak fluent Spanish and German as well.
