“Excellent Location!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

My husband and I went to Portugal for my friend's wedding in Aveiro and spent our last two days at this guesthouse in Lisbon. It was recommended by my friend's aunt who lives there so I trusted her. I must say that I was impressed. Being our first time staying at a guesthouse, their service was very good. The apartment/room were extremely clean and the staff was very courteous. There were many other people staying there and it never felt crowded (perhaps because everyone is out and about), but I only noticed that in the morning when people were getting ready to head out. It has a tiny kitchen with coffee and fruits, it has a cozy livingroom with a TV. Three bathrooms with toilets (very clean by the way). My room had a vanity and shower but no balcony. Pretty spacious room. The only drawback is that the apartment is located on the 4th floor. You are pretty tired by the time you make it up there with your luggage. But the location makes up for that in my opinion. There is the Restauradores Metro station exactly in front of the building and infinity of restaurants and shops all around. It can be a little hard to find if you are not sure what you are looking for, but as long as you look all the way up at the building, you'll see "Imperial" then there's a small glass with a brass frame door (next to a restaurant) that's it. It was well worth it in my opinion!

Room Tip: There are rooms with a bathroom, but that only includes a vanity and shower, no toilet. Have to use...

This is a perfect hotel for the price. The room is of an adequate size, and we were lucky enough to have been given a better room with a balcony for most of our stay with no extra charge. A really nice touch by the owners. Don't expect luxury! It's a basic room with shower and sink, which all works perfectly! It can be a little noisy, but request a room at the back if that's an issue. We enjoyed the view and the bustling night from the balcony. The location is practically unbeatable, right next Rossio station and providing a simple metro ride from the airport. It's near all the big sights, and Rossio provides fantastic links to Sintra. The apple, robe and slippers in the room were really nice. Don't fret about the shared bathroom! They were always immaculate and we never had to wait to use them. Okay, it's a lot of stairs to get there - but as long as you know that beforehand there's not really any issue with it.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us throughout the trip, telling us where to go and recommending restaurants! Perfect location, and most importantly very clean throughout.

Room Tip: If you want a quite room, request the 5th floor. You won't get a view but it'll be peaceful...

It would be difficult to find somewhere this inexpensive with in the centre of Lisbon. The reason is probably the number of stairs to climb .... But it is well worth the climb! We had a room looking out onto the square with a mini balcony to sit out on. Some reviews have complained about the noise but we were fine, there is always the option of closing the shutters and turning up the fan!
Staff are really friendly and helpful, we were offered a shower after we had checked out and just come back to collect our bags.
No breakfasts but plenty of places nearby and hot drinks are free as is the apples and oranges.
We will be returning!

We stayed here for seven nights and had a great time. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We arrived after midnight on a friday, we were weclomed in, given a map and advice on where to go in Lisbon. Our room was on the top floor and only small, however this was not a problem as the staff are very happy to help, the room was very clean. The guesthouse is in a great location in the centre of the city, with people on hand to help you find anything you need. We will be recommending this to everyone and would love to come and stay again. Thank you to Pedro and staff for an amazing stay

We stayed here for four nights in a room with a shower and a balcony. The staff is friendly and always very helpful, giving Information on Sightseeing and Restaurants. The Service is outstanding, they get you everything you need from printing your flighttickets to a hairdryer. The Hotel is located on a Main Street so it might be better to ask for a room with windows to the smaller streets if you are a light sleeper.

Nice staff, rooms and service. I would highly recommend this place. Be prepared to walk six flights to get there. Everything else was great! I found the staff especially friendly and so welcoming especially for someone traveling alone :)
