My husband and I went to Portugal for my friend's wedding in Aveiro and spent our last two days at this guesthouse in Lisbon. It was recommended by my friend's aunt who lives there so I trusted her. I must say that I was impressed. Being our first time staying at a guesthouse, their service was very good. The apartment/room were extremely clean and the staff was very courteous. There were many other people staying there and it never felt crowded (perhaps because everyone is out and about), but I only noticed that in the morning when people were getting ready to head out. It has a tiny kitchen with coffee and fruits, it has a cozy livingroom with a TV. Three bathrooms with toilets (very clean by the way). My room had a vanity and shower but no balcony. Pretty spacious room. The only drawback is that the apartment is located on the 4th floor. You are pretty tired by the time you make it up there with your luggage. But the location makes up for that in my opinion. There is the Restauradores Metro station exactly in front of the building and infinity of restaurants and shops all around. It can be a little hard to find if you are not sure what you are looking for, but as long as you look all the way up at the building, you'll see "Imperial" then there's a small glass with a brass frame door (next to a restaurant) that's it. It was well worth it in my opinion!
