We've just got back from a weekend break in Lisbon, staying at the apartments for 2 nights (friday/saturday). The location is fantastic, literally a 2 minute walk from the metro which is fantastic for getting into the city from the airport. Great price for the location.
The rooms are modern and clean, big bed (although this was 2 beds put together). The Mac and ipad are great inclusions although the ipad would have been sufficient and I would have appreciated more bed side space.
We stayed as 2 couples and the couple we were staying with were bothered by the toilet being in the room behind a frosted glass door which had a gap at the bottom. It would be better to have doors that go to the floor.
There is a cafe below which is great for a coffe and a bite to eat for breakfast before heading out into the city.
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly! Thank you.
The only real down side was the noise. Not the fault of the apartments, it is in a city centre after all, but we were all kept awake by a very loud group of people talking very loudly/shouting from 5:45-8:15. Not sure what we or the apartment could have done about it really? Better insulating windows?
There was quite a bit of building work being done outside but that didn't bother us. It would have been good to be told about it though as I can imagine it would put some people off.

Room Tip: As high as you can get, to get away from the noise.

We stayed at Brown's for a few days and had a good experience overall. The location is perfect, right off the metro which is so convenient after a red eye flight. There is construction in front of the building but nothing that would cause any concerns. I loved that there was a computer and wireless internet in the room, and the room was clean, a little small but liveable.

The "reception" desk only opens at 10:00 am which is not entirely helpful but they did store our luggage until we could check in at 2:00 pm. Staff was extremely helpful in identifying sites, locations to eat, etc.

As others noted the apartments are noisy! Walls are thin and when our neighbor seemed to be having stomach issues one morning we heard all about it. We did not hear much street noise though and were on the first floor.

Definitely recommend!

The room was tiny, the computer was at the foot of the bed and the ipad was beside this attached to a docking station, making it a total waste as you had to sit at the computer to use the ipad. The toilet and the shower room are facing the bed with frosted glass doors, thus there is no privacy and the shower leaked all over the floor after every use.
My partner and I are not difficult to please however we both felt dissapointed by the room as it was not cheap for 3 nights.
the hotel was very central which is one of the benefits on a short trip.

Window opens onto flat roof with air con/vent units as the view. Room very dark. More like a smallish hotel room with a hob and a sink. Unless you're going to eat sitting on the bed or over the computer desk you can't really call it an apartment. There is a washing machine but I would not want to stay long enough to need to use it. Location is great though. I note lots of good reviews about the rooms...I found not having natural light a real problem. Claustraphobic. Man at desk very polite though, while informing us there were no other rooms available.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2012. Our apartment was at the top floor with magnificent views over Lisbon. The design of the room was very cool and unique, but the bathroom is a bit small. Our room was not ready when we got there (a maid was sick) and during our stay the faucet broke while we were out and the bathroom was a bit flooded when we got back. The staff fixed this very quickly by calling a janitor/handy-man, and 45 minutes later everything was back to normal (even though it was a Sunday). The kitchenette is very small and lacks basic utensils. It was OK for making breakfast and soup for lunch, but nothing more. The location is fantastic. Shops, busses, trams and restaurants are just 50 meters away. We would definately return and have recommended staying here to friends who are going to Lisbon this spring.

Great location, walking distance to everything, quiet, and cool interiors with design furniture, iMac, iPad, iPod. The LP player mystified us as there was no LPs to play on it. Had the top suite, which had a really good view to the Castelo. Well-equipped kitchenette, and spacious room. Somehwat hard bed, but that's maybe how they prefer beds to be like in Portugal? No problems sleeping though, it's exhausting sightseeing, shopping and digesting food! Our only problem, which progressed to become a very big problem, was the smell in the room. Initially disguised somewhat of the smell of chlorine and other cleaning detergents, the smell of sewage progressed during our stay. Located the smell to come from the bathroom sink and kitchen sink, and on our final night the smell was rather overwhelming, and we had to leave the windows open to air it out (was rather cold). I hope that was only a temporary problem, because otherwise the place is great and good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor suite but have a sniff before accepting it!
