If you're looking to stay in Lisbon on a budget, this is the place to come. It's got a great location, very close to Rossio, but all the main sites are in walking distance, and, best of all, it's really affordable.

The room itself was pretty basic, but it did the trick. The bed was comfortable, a good-sized double and the en-suite was definitely worth it. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, answering all our numerous questions and providing useful suggestions to us to get the most out of our stay.

They could easily have got rid of some of the furniture from the room, which was very dated, and it was pretty dark in the room too, which was great at night but could have been a more lighter. Also, no air-con, but with the large windows, this wasn't too much of a problem but I can imagine it getting rather warm in the summer. The walls were a bit thin, so could hear a lot of the goings-on in the corridor outside and other rooms, but not so much as to disturb sleep.

Overall, a solid option for those looking for an affordable, no-frills stay in a great location. A bit of modernisation would really liven this place up.

Room Tip: Go for an en-suite the shard facilities weren't particularly nice.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the Baixa district in the heart of the city.
The nearest metro station is about 3-5 minute walk, Rossio station is also 5 minutes away.
Near the hotel there are numerous tourist shops, restaurants with typical Portuguese food which is a big plus.
Our room was good, clean. The towels had being changed every day. The only minus I can think of is the bed which was creaking a lot and was not most comfortable we've slept but for this price was perfect.
The bathroom was also very clean.
The staff was very helpful and was answering all of our questions.

As the location was most important to us and we just used our room only for sleeping, we were very pleased to find a hotel for a low price. It was a perfect place for starting our daily trips through Lisbon. The room was small but clean and the staff very friendly - the only nuisance was the noise at 4 am when the garbage was collected in the streets.

We stayed there twice, sadly there is a big difference between the standard of the rooms on the different floors. Some of the staff are very helpful some of them not that much. The location is perfect, walking distance to every sight you want to see.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the 4th floor if possible, the bathrooms are new and the rooms are a lot nicer

We stayed at the hotel with my son in May 2013. The location could not be better, very central, close to the restaurants, shops, metro station.
Our room was tiny and very dark, but clean. Stuff was very helpful and friendly.
The main problem for me was a noise late at night and early in the morning , as people were going back and forth to the shared bathroom (we had our own).
