Saw Fado then need to eat went up street to Adega de Sao Roque with a group of friends
from Wash DC on or about September 22, 2013. Was recommended the grill "white bass" which serves two people it was the best. My other friends had the grill salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal.....It was great! We told other friends and they also went there to eat.

The gentleman at the door along with the very young lady were great with all of us, left a great tip for his service. 54 Euros for 4 people.

Had a great lunch here about 6 six years ago & then forgot where it was! Found it again this trip and went back for dinner on our last night in Lisbon. Family-run and traditional with tons of football and Fado memorabilia all over the walls, it's kitschy & charming (the restaurant is really old and the building even older!).
Had the fried sole (it was ok) and the veal with mushrooms (excellent! my wife said it was her best meal in Lisbon this year). The bread was great & the vinho verde ice-cold!
Note: seating is on wide stools not chairs so grab a table in the corner so you have the wall at your back! Also note: (I see this all the time so I have to say it again)....in Portugal as a RULE, bread, cheese, olives, fish pate are placed on your table as soon as you sit down whether you've ordered it or not. If you don't want them, simply slid the plates to the edge of the table and/or ask the waiter to take them away. If you sample ANYTHING it will be added to your bill.

If you are looking for a good family run restaurant that serves good value seafood, then this is the place to go. The house wine was pretty average, but hey what do you expect for 5 Euro for 0.5 l. Fish was excellent and the baby potatoes went down a treat. 56 Euro for 4 mains, bread and cheese starter, 05l wine and 2 beers. Can't complain about that.

A quaint football obsessed little restaurant that has probably been there forever. Had the cuttlefish that was one of the best I have tasted. Beautifully grilled. Accompaniments are a bit basic but its the fish you are here for. Vinho verde is a good price and being low alcohol, ideal for lunch. Will come again next visit!

Very tasty grilled fish but the rest...welll, average or poor. Tomato salad was tasteless, house wine almost undrinkable and the green beans of the side dish had a soapy aftertaste. Wouldn't reccommend.
