Great budget accommodation!
We stayed in a double room in one of the apartments here for 5 nights! By far the cheapest accommodation we have found in Europe! Our room had an ensuite bathroom - unusual design ( as i think another review mentioned) but no problem!
There is a shared kitchen which is very well equipped and you can make yourself an espresso as well! The owner is very courteous and was a great help explaining public transport options when we arrived!
He also made the effort to be available when we arrived early (8am) and he met us in the street. We had told him our arrival time via booking.com and would recommend doing the same as there is no reception here!
There is no washing machine here but we were able to take our clothes down to LavaMais down the road and hang them on the line at the apartment.

The room and kitchen were very clean when we arrived. There was little more cleaning during our stay but we did not expect too much for such a discount price! Plus other guests were very respectful and tidy.
Great spot for reaching the centre (20 min walk) as well as other areas of Lisbon and the surrounding areas as very close to metro!
Would recommend highly to the budget traveller!

This is apartment with several rooms (I think 4 or 5), 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and small living room. They have no reception, so we waited for host about 45min to appear (some women in the neighborhood called her when we asked her to help us to find hotel). The room was clean and modest, bathrooms were clean. There is one room with the private bathroom, it is little bit expensive, it is very strange designed> you must ventilate room through bath (i think, even cheaper, rooms with shared bath are better). You have kitchen available, you can cook, but kitchen have gas installations (which could be dangerous). Location is good, you can take a bus or metro, or 25min walk to the city center.

excellent value, huge double room that was light with doors opening to the deck. Fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine. Very Clean, and lovely owners were there frequently cleaning. Heaps of fridge and freezer space. 4min walk to supermarket or metro station. 20min walk to centre of Lisbon. Dining places close by. Good shower pressure, 2 showers and toilets. Good area, we felt fine walking at night and found it easily with the tourist map found at any train station, info centre, airport and walked from the main centre square of Lisbon to get there. Free internet access and computer provided if you dont have one. Large deck area where you can eat/relax. Has a washing machine and powder was under the sink. Coat hangers in closet. Incredible value for money - we really liked staying here, gave us the independence we wanted at a great price.

Not a negative but this is a "guest house or apartment" rather than a hotel as it does not have a full time reception. When you get there/ are heading there, call the owner and they will meet you at the door to the building, you get a key for the main door, the apartment and your room. She was there within a few minutes when we called. Very helpful and accommodating, i spoke enough French to communicate but my husband asked some questions in english and she called someone to answer them - great communication and lots of information provided! There was tourist information at the flat too but we found it best to use the free internet and a "Time Out Lisbon Guide" - we went to some of the recommended eateries - Incredible and cheap some were under $20 euro for two people! I would also recommend going to Sintra and Cascais.

Located in in a quiet place close to the subway. A good hostel is situated in the apartment. Clean. We had everything we needed and there is a full kitchen you can use.
But be prepared that no one opens the door for you, administrator comes only after a phone call. Аdministrator settled over us and we did not see her the next 3 days.

This place is great value for what you pay. Close to public transport and it's very safe and secure. There are lots of shops near so you can buy something to cook. We had a big breakfast cook-up and sat out the back one morning. Beautiful!

I will post this again because the name of the place has changed, and my enthusiastic review will not be helpful if it isn't found under LOW COST ROOMS but under the old name: Telerooms.

What a cosy perfect place to settle in for a week. I am crazy about Lisbon but live so far away that the airfare is almost all I can afford. Here the price of a single room was less than a bed in a hostel in the Chiado or down near Rossio. If I was still in my twenties I might find Telerooms a little dull, but if you are really wanting a very quiet and all of the above sort of place I think you would be delighted to land a room here! The kitchen had everything to host a nice dinner. My room had a tv. There's a common room with an online computer, cable tv,and dvd player. Towels and bedlinens- all very good quality. The owners are very, very kind, helpful and generous. Maria was patient with my Portuguese, and her daughter speaks English very well. The neighborhood though 2 metro stops up from Interdente was not scarey. Plenty of commerce all about- Pastelarias, Paderias, Restaurantes, a Pingo Doce around the corner. Arroios Metro stop, too, just around the corner. It is not fancy or romantic; it's just nice. The people I met staying there were very nice, too.

My husband and I decided to go to Lisbon, but where to sleep there?. We found "LOW COST ROOMS" in internet and did the reservation. They had so much good reviews so decided to booking in this hostel.
When we arrived we saw a old house, and we tought... "oh my god, what is that?, is that good?", oh yes, was incredible good, very clean, the owner was so nice and explained everything what we wanted to know about that, was a microwave, kitchen, fridge, a smoker zone, and the rooms are big and very clean.
Is located in a really nice place, near to the subway (3 minutes walk), supermarket (5 minutes walk). Of course if you search for a luxury hotel this is not a place, but is really nice if you are a badpacker, groups of friends or you travel alone.
We spended there 8 nights, and i can say, the complety house was for us.... so we payed for a really nice place.... THIS PLACE IS HIGHLY RECOMENDED IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP AND ENJOY LISBON"
