“Good rooms but nothing else”
Reviewed 21 November 2011

I was disappointed by this hotel after booking throughj internet. The room was spacious and pretty comfortable, but the hotel did not have any other services apart from a tiny bar with a few tables where breakfast was served. If you wanted normal hotel services, you had you had to go to the hotel next door. This should be better explained in internet.

Actually we used the part of building that has only appartments. This includes also a small and moderne kitchenette, safe box, two rooms with a LCD TV each, and bathroom. The location is quite central, very close to all good places to shop, historic sites, restaurants and bars, walking distance to Markis de Pomball square. for cars there is a underground parking @ 13 eur/day. A/C was functioning all right.
HOWEVER, the breakfast was poor or less than one could expect from a 4 stars.

Room Tip: the front view is probably better than the back one, if you plan to stay long time inside... For par...

Me and my friend stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful apartment hotel in July 2011.
The hotel is very new and modern. We were met with smiles from the hotel reception and the check-in went fast and efficient. They offered to help us with our bags, but we respectfully declined. However I appreciated that they offered. Thumbs up.

We had separate single rooms, and although they weren't as large as the doubles, they were huge compared to other hotels. Being an apartment hotel they had all the kitchen ware you needed to make your own food in your room. Our beds were ok. I actually think they were sofas with a matress on top. So alittle bit on the hard side, but still ok. The linen and pillows were great! The bathrooms were spacious and very clean. At the 9th floor there is a sundeck with a jacuzzi. We used this almost every day and really enjoyed it. It was included in the room prize. Also a health club with saune were included, but we actually forgot to try this out. :)

I had some problems with a lightbulb and also my fridge, but with one quick talk with the reception it was fixed very quickly. Great service! We also got terrific service from one particular receptionist (sadly we didn't catch her name) who recomended lots of places for us to go and always greeted us with a smile. I hope she reads this so she knows how much we appriciated her huge effort to make our stay wonderful. Thanks :)

The location is great. It is a quiet neighbourhood so you get a good night sleep. It is within walking distance both from the nearest metro and also very near Bairro Alto.

Lisbon is a great city and has alot to offer. If you are considering going, stay for more than just a weekend.:) It's worth it.

If I have to pick at something it has to be the breakfast. It was ok. Not so much to choose from. But seeing that this is a apartment hotel (or more like a good hotel with apartment rooms) I guess you really can't complain since you can basically make your own breakfast if you want. And also I think that free wi-fi should be included. They charge 5 euros pr hour. But all this is small small stuff. Nothing of this made our stay unpleasant :)

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon. You will not regret it. :)

The suite was fantastic, large and bright with a marvelous bathroom. Good value for the money. I will recommend it to friends visiting Lisbon. The only complaints were the kitchenette with a lot of good utensils but without coffee machine, micro or electric kettle. Moreover the hotel would gain on giving wi-fi for free.

The rooms at Altis Prime are excellent value - you get a bedroom with plenty of storage and hanging space, a bathroom with a huge shower and separate loo and a sitting room with a dining area and a small kitchenette. Furnishings are modern and neutral. There's a roof terrace with beds to recline on and a jacuzzi. The hotel has a small bar/restaurant which serves cute breakfasts.

I wouldn't have hesitated to give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the following niggles. Firstly, the shower went cold when my partner had a shower directly after me. Reception told us there is a limited amount of hot water, and you need to give it time to heat up between showers. I think it's pretty poor if two people can't have consecutive showers. We waited 30 minutes, but still no hot water.

The second sticking point relates to wi-fi charges - 5 euro an hour seems excessive and money grabbing. Lastly, I was pleased to read when I booked the room that there was a nespresso machine in the room. What they didn't point out was that they charge you for the capsules - 2 euro per coffee capsule, and there's no milk or cream to go with it. Again, it seems a cynical money making ploy. If I'd known, I'd have bought my own.
