I stayed with a friend of mine for 3 nights in the double bed room and here are our thoughts about the hostel:
+ Everything was very clean.
+ Location was good for our tours. Aero Bus and trains very close.
+ Cheap price with breakfast.

• Breakfast was ok, but if things are empty you have to ask staff always if there is more.
• Staff was unorganized but maybe they just had a bad day when we needed them.
• For toilets and shower you should be better skinny or it might be very tight in the cabins...

- It should be mentioned that downstairs are bars and you can hardly sleep at night with open windows.

Overall: the ratio of what we paid and what we got is pretty ok from our point of view. Overall a recommendation if you are not disturbed by noise.

1. If you're bringing luggage, good luck walking it up 3 flights of stairs.
2. It is not in the city center.
3. There is no AC or heat
4. breakfast is just cereal.
5. The people in charge of the hostel (except Patricia) are rude and incompetent. They did not know where tourist attractions were, anything to recommend, or directions.
6. The showers and bathroom are skinny stalls. You can barely put your arms above your head to wash your hair. be careful not to open the door to the bathroom bc if someone is coming out of the shower she will be seen by people passing by. The lights in the shower are motion censored and shut off randomly so you shower in the dark.
7. Wifi wasn't working one night and the coffee machine only worked for 1 out of our 3 nights.
8. To top it off a pigeon flew into the living room, not to mention all the flies that are in the room during the day.
9. We lost our key and went to the guy in charge who told us he didnt have a spare but maybe someone else did and he would have to call and wake them up. 40 minutes later after we explained for a second time how our passports were in the locker and we needed to get our stuff out, he then went searching for a key. He tried about 10 different keys - very disorganized (why aren't they labeled??)
10. The bedroom door handle kept falling off.
11. The ladder for the bunk are thin and unstable.

Moral of the story, the customer service was just overwhelmingly awful and it negatively impacted our stay in Lisbon.

A beautiful authentic hostel in the center of the city, very friendly personnel and beatiful, cosy rooms. It is a very clean hostel, nicely decorated. The hostel is located on the second floor, but there isn't an elevator present.

It was my first time using this way of accommodation and I couldn't choose better. I was sleeping in a dormitory, I found all rooms really cosy and in perfect taste, everything clean, cheap price with good localization, breakfast included and good quality in one time. Possibility of using computers with internet access. I loved the coffee machine. The stuff so nice and so helpful :)

A group of us stayed in this hostel either side of the Optimus Alive music festival in 2012. It's perfectly located close to tram lines and bus stops and within walking distance of the majority of central Lisbon. The hostel is excellent - it's clean, has a good mix of (hotel-style) double rooms as well as bunks and the whole place is decked out in some really amazing artwork. The owners and people who work there are friendly and willing to give you advice on getting about. I'll definitely come back for another stay here.

Great location (100 metres from buses and trams; 5 minute walk to subway/underground and trains); very quiet at night (for those who want to sleep well); great, great staff; clean and neat; simple and practical; affordable; free wireless.
