I made a list of the various sights to see in Lisbon and after the Gulbenkian Museum, I wrote "Must see". It is definitely not to be missed. I really cannot add much more than has already been said about the private collection, but I will say that Calouste Gulbenkian was a visionary. One of the paintings on display was purchased by him from the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg in the 1930s. There are paintings, sculptures, jewelry, coins, porcelain - objects of art that were breathtaking. There is an audio in several languages which was very good. Do some browsing in the gift shop. It's a stop on the yellow bus line!! No matter how you get there, be sure to go!!
