“Impressive engineering masterpiece”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

To reach it as a pedestrian, it is great to take the metro to station Oriente, pass the Vasco da Gama shopping mall and then have a nice stroll on the shore until reaching the bridge.

“Big bridge, but nothing special”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

It's a big bridge with a decent view, but if you want a great view, go to Cristo Rei! The bridge has a terrible toll system that causes chaotic lines before you cross it into Lisbon. Be prepared with your best defensive driving!

“"We Copied Golden Gate Bridge..." Stated Taxi Driver”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

So we are in a taxi returning to downtown Lisbon and we commented to the taxi driver that the bridge looks familar to us. He says "We copied the Golden Gate Bridge and if you see the statue up on the hill past it, we copied the Jesus statue from Sao Paulo". Made sense to us since that was exactly what we were looking at. Just like the Golden Gate, it is long and impressive.
