Description: Set within one of the most up-market and iconic areas in Lisbon – Largo do Teatro S. Carlos, Chiado – it is located within a building of the Lisbon Patriarchy, given that the main wing of the restaurant is part of the old cloisters of the Convento da Igreja dos Mártires. Chiado is one of the busiest and most cosmopolitan areas in the capital and is a compulsory stop. Consisting of a main floor, across the building, and a mezzanine, the space features several distinct areas, a combination of architectural concepts absolutely unique. One of the striking features in the creative design of the restaurant is a 30-metre wall with three panes of black glass encased within the wall. They contain three large aquaria, populated with dozens of jellyfish that create an original effect with movement of dance and light.

Booked a table for my wife's birthday, on arrival was served outstanding cocktails at the bar, then seated. The restaurant has a 1970 decor with surreal fish tanks full of brightly coloured jellyfish, the decor overall outstanding. The 29euro two course menu is excellent value, The waiters were outsanding in their service and even their sweet choice was excellent, would highly recommend this reataurant in CHaido. We returned three days later to enjoy the food and the experience. Would strongly recommend booking as table are full.Cost roughly 80-100 euros including drink

“Prepare to be amazed”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

After searching TA for a good Lisbon restaurant for business I eventually decided for Largo - and it couldn't have gone better! Service, ambiance and food are REALLY good. Our party of 4 went for the 2 course menu and we were all real happy about it: great and rich flavours was everyone's opinion about our choices throughout the whole meal, with the waiter being very polite and not at all oppressive. In the end we had a gin at the bar and it was the perfect ending for a great evening. Will return as soon as possible.

“Hip, tasty, friendly and fine for kids”
Reviewed 10 August 2012 via mobile

We went on a recommendation from our concierge at Pestana Palace. We have an 18-month-old which is a restriction both for schedule and atmosphere. The wife and I are both foodies, so we still try to eat well. The place is funky (in a cool way) with tanks of illuminated jellyfish that fascinated the kid. We were able to start at a relatively early hour ~7PM. Our food was quite good, and reasonably priced. I explained my taste in wine and the waiter recommended a southern blend called Cartuxa. This was delicious, but the markup was a bit extreme from what I discovered later at the wine store (25 marked up to 43 euros). I expect this kind of gouging in the states, but was surprised to SE it here. Nevertheless, it was very good.

“Great Restuarant, Great Atmosphere & Setting”
Reviewed 9 August 2012 via mobile

Our party of 6 really enjoyed this restaurant. It was at the high end scale of restaurants but we enjoyed it. Unlike some reviews we found the service excellent our waiter Andre was more than helpful and was attentive but not in your face. We all opted for the 2 course menu option and everyone was impressed with the entree & mains, the presentation & the flavours. Of course the Theatre of illuminated jelly fish in the fish tanks was also very cool.
