This is a nice place to come in a sunny afternoon. I particularly like to look up and see the dark blue sky as if it was the ceiling of the old church. The museum inside is nothing special but I still like this place. If you are around Chiado it is well worth a visit

Igreja do Carmo is a ruin of an old cathedral and Museum. It is well preserved and full of interesting information in both Portugese and English. There is a discount with the Lisbon card but costs about 3 euros full price.

The best bit for me was the two mummies.

It is a little expensive for what you get to see, which is not much. The ruins are beautiful and the fact that these are remains from the 1755 earthquake also adds to its charm. But there's more to see in other places. You can get some good photos while at it but that's about it. I'm sure that if they lowered the price or if there was a way to add a charming coffee spot or something of that sort, people would be more interested in visiting.
