4€ entrance fee. Plenty of cafes and shops around. Please beware of a lot of Eastern Europeans pickpockets in Baixa Chiado. They are women for the purpose that you won’t report them because they are women. So take care of your belongings on the way to this convent.

Visit the back of the convent as well for some coffee. It is quite windy at the back. The museum was small but very interesting and had a souvenir shop.

We paid 4 euro each adult and children were free entrance. It’s amazingly beautiful. One of my favorite places in Lisbon. There are quite a lot of archeological things also in the museum part. There are 2 mummies which were incredible well preserved. The gift shop is lovely, with a adorable view from its window. It has many books about Lisbon. It’s a MUST!

Wonderfully atmospheric ruined church which is now an open air archaeological museum. The church was destroyed in the 1755 earthquake and renovation was started and then abandoned. It was an incredible feeling to wander the ruins and take in all the artefacts from around 2000 years of Lisbon’s history. There are also three indoor rooms packed with objects including two very ghoulish Peruvian mummies! An absolutely fascinating place.

I wandered upon this museum and ancient church by accident, but its definitely worth a visit. The church dates all the way back to 1389, not long before Portugal's rise as a great world power. Unfortunately a massive earthquake and ensuing fire destroyed most of the building, leaving just the eerie remains of the frame and arches...fascinating. Since then, efforts to rebuild the main sanctuary have failed, but the other structures were repaired and are now used as a museum for a variety of Portugal's historical artifacts. Its definitely worth €4 for entry.
