“Convenient to Gulbankien”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

We spent a night here, and would have happily stayed longer if time had allowed. The outstanding feature of this hotel, for us, was the front desk staff, who were very thoughtful on several occasions--coming to see if I was able to get my boarding passes printed, recommending a terrific traditional restaurant, storing bags, asking questions. They were very welcoming and for that reason alone I would stay there again.
Our room was simple, updated, impeccably clean. Good breakfast included in costs. Also very helpful and kind staff in breakfast room.
We chose this hotel in part because of its proximity to the Gulbankien. Also a great advantage.
The "strip club" next door has no presence at all, except for a small sign.

Highly recommend.

Excellent location - easy to reach from the airport and city center as metro station is across the street. However, the street is very quiet so you can enjoy a good night's sleep. Rooms are comfortable and clean, although I would have liked a bit more space. Staff is friendly and helpful. In short, a hotel which will add quality to your visit to Lisbon.

We stayed here at the beginning and the end of our trip to Portugal.A pleasant place to set up for a visit to the city with a major shopping center and museum very close by.We did lots of walking so enjoyed the walk down to the port buildings. They were charging for wifi when we were there which was a p.i.a. logging on and off and re-loading time credit.I see by their ad they now include it so totally a non issue at this point. I would have no trouble staying there again if returning to Lisbon.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Very clean, comfortable room, excellent breakfast and helpful staff who speak very good English. It is beside a metro stop so was in fantastic location for exploring Lisbon and beyond. Would highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Close to Sao Sebastiao subway station (just cross the street), quiet area, nice and clean room.

Staff are helpful and nice.

Shower was EXCELLENT, the best thing I guess. The bed was a little narrow, but good.

TV with many channel options

Breakfast with a variety of breads, some fruits and drinks, complete for me.

Room Tip: Anyone I guess is almost the same

I stayed three nights at this hotel and it was a great choice for Lisbon. I had taken the overnight train from Madrid, and got there very early. The young man at the front desk said the hotel had been fully booked, and our room was not ready, but he kept our luggage and told us things to do while we waited. We bought two Hop Off Hop On tour tickets from the front desk. It is 19EURO for two days if you buy the yellow bus tour, and it is also for the city buses and the city trams. Great value and you can buy it at the front desk.

The Hop On Hop Off tour--Blue Route--stops three blocks from the hotel. It is stop 9 and is in front of the El Corte Ingles Department store. The Metro station is across the street and has two lines--the Blue Line and the Red Line--to the airport.

We were assigned Room 802, and it was great. The room was huge for a European hotel, and the bathroom was great with penty of counter space. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were great. The toom had an empty refrigerator so you could keep your drinks cold. The hotel was very quiet at night.

The hotel is three blocks from the El Corte Ingles department store, and the supermarket is on floor minus one. I bought items there to keep in my refrigerator. The breakfast room was very nice, with a nice variety of foods. There were fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, cold cut meats, yogurt, drinks, and coffee. The staff was very nice in the breakfast room.

The front desk staff is great and are willing to help and give tourist advice. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Lisbon and will stay here again on my next visit to Lisbon.
