He a great 4 night stay in this hotel. Had a twin room on the front, with a balcony which was great to sit on in the evenings and mornings. The location is set back from the main road, so is very quiet. Staff were very helpful during the stay - helping out with various requests like providing a UK power adapter and fresh milk for making hot drinks in the room.

One of the best features of the hotel is the pool, which is situated between both Tivoli hotels. it is set in mature gardens and has a lovely pool bar for a late afternoon drink after a day of sight seeing!

It's worth considering a room rate with breakfast included - there was a good buffet selection of cereals, fruit, cold meats and hot food.

Location is good - right by the metro station, and a short walk down to the central tourist areas.

We came as a group and me and a friend got a lovely room with balcony. They overlook the parking lot, so not so nice view, but this means that it is a very quiet hotel because there is hardly any traffic outside. The room was small, but nicely outfitted and the bathroom was even better. I found it extremly stylish. I think this is the one time I found that the hotel looks better than in the photos!
Breakfast was also nice and the breakfast room/restaurant/bar has a marvellous design, as does the lobby. They location is very central. Staff were great.

The Tivoli Jardim is a lovely, comfortable hotel that was very quiet during our stay. It is well designed with nice interiors, trying to be designer without breaking the bank. However the rooms are very small and although the bathroom is nice there was no seal around the shower so there was a mini flood every time you used it.

Service was very good though. Upon arrival the receptionist was very helpful I explaining the best places to visit and they were very accommodating when we asked for a late check out. Location is very good within a short walking distance of the harbour and also the avenue de liberdade which has many desinger shops - if you want to go shopping save your pennies by staying here rather than the Lisboa!

Pool area was very pleasant with nice garden area too however it probably is a little small considering it services two hotels. No problems getting a space though as long as you get there early enough! All in all though worth the money.

This hotel boasts great design and its true that the fixtures are all good quality...porcelanosa in the bathrooms and contemporary furniture but the fitting and attention to detail lets this down. The bathroom fixtures were all wonky and grout out the tiles and no seal around the shower meant water everywhere. The rooms are TINY and a twin is two beds pushed together with an inch around. It was however very quiet and the staff are very nice on the front desk....if you can afford the lisboa tivoli its much better. That said the terrace restaurant is AWFUL!!. We ate there and it was so bad. Service was over attentive and they hung around the table. The food was over flavoured and a mixture of uncomplimentary tastes and textures. Also at 75 euros a head not including dessert or coffee totally over the top. The pool was nice but was shaded for most of the day which is nice for non sun lovers but not nice if your after a tan. Good location on the main street but definitely try the main tivoli lisboa (the reception staff are excellent and much better trained as well)

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the lisboa!!

I stayed a week in this hotel and didn't want to leave... The people working there are lovely and they all speak several languages. Every employee (except for one pool boy, at the end of a long, very hot day) was exceptionally polite and kind. The housekeeper on my floor had the elegance and exquisite courtesy of a countess. The room was kept immaculately clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well. The minibar was well stocked and the prices weren't too outrageous. The bathroom was modern and elegant. The only thing I would suggest to improve the room would be a hook or hooks on the bathroom wall to hang pajamas, bathrobe, etc... It's a true four-star hotel.
There are a few peculiarities that should be noted, in case they might bother potential guests: The Jardim is the "poor cousin" of theTivoli Lisboa, the five-star hotel next door. The Jardim has no real lounge on the ground floor, while the Lisboa has an enormous, luxurious, five-star lounge. On the positive side, guests of the Jardim can use the Lisboa's pool, spa, and fitness centre. I only used the pool, which is gorgeous (see photos on the hotel website). The best time to go to the pool is just before closing (8 PM), when everybody is leaving; in August it can (naturally) be quite crowded during the day. The pool is in a walled garden, not on the roof, which is nice. The space itself (when not filled with guests) is refreshingly tranquil.
Another peculiarity is the Nespresso machine in each room; capsules are €1.50 each! There is no kettle but one can make tea by using the Nespresso machine, without a capsule, to get boiling water (be sure to let a little water escape into a spare cup first, to rinse out the coffee taste). On my first day, there were no tea bags, but on the third day, one Lipton Yellow and one camomille tea bag appeared. Cups and demi-tasses are provided, but no spoons (they probably get stolen).
A third peculiarity was the configuration of the bathroom; it's necessary to be reasonably athletic to step in and out of the tub/shower, which while beautifully modern, is set deep into a nook in the wall next to the toilet and has a steep slant (for back support when sitting in the tub) right where the logical person would attempt to enter. This will not be a problem for the young and fit, but elderly and/or injured people would have a tough time getting in and out. Shampoo, shower gel, and moisturizer are provided, along with soap, shower caps, and WASHCLOTHS... a nice touch this last.
Finally, and this is really the only serious negative note, the "welcome drink" offered in the Sky Bar was the smallest, weakest drink I have been offered in my lifetime. This is a mistake, and it doesn't fit in with what was otherwise a truly luxurious, comfortable experience. The "welcome drink" should either be eliminated, or five euros should be added to the price of the room and a real drink offered.

Room Tip: The Jardim has basically two types of rooms, each with their own advantages and drawbacks. The "...

This hotel has everything going for it but it muddles along claiming better service than it actually delivers. We had a series of minor muck ups that were annoying and took the gloss off the experience although the breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent.

I booked my team in here for a month on a recent business trip, in the superior rooms (with balconies) - that's a fair time to spend in any hotel!

The location is brilliant, with all of the old town at your doorstep.

The staff were great, breakfast the same every day, but with great choice and high quality.

You can use the facilities of the 5-star Tivoli Lisboa next door; the pool and pool bar are lovely, but I'd recommend visiting the Sky Bar just to check out the view and then leave - it has expensive, watery cocktails that take a long time in arriving, and the most rude and arrogant staff that we encountered anywhere in our trip - and that I've encountered in a very long while.

The metro was just a few steps away, and the main tourist squares were a 900 m walk down the avenue. There are some interesting restaurants within about a 5 minute walk, and you can wander up the hill to Principe Real for some great shopping.

Markets set up on the avenue outside the hotel a couple of days a week (very flea market-ish).
