All the other reviews say it all. Its a perfect hotel in almost every sense. The bar is also great and reasonably priced.

The room was a great size, beautifully decorated. All modern features and everything you need. I could not fault the room or the classy decor. The beds are possibly the best I've ever slept on also.

Service was also top notch on everyone's behalf.

Location could not be beat.

My only complaint just a small one, the wifi is outsourced so to speak and its not at very reasonable prices. You have to buy it in time allocated blocks from the front desk (which they had run out) or via the wifi companies website.

The hotel is simply perfect: perfectly located in the center of Lisbon, quiet, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and a chic and stylish AdLib restaurant. Come and see it!

We got a good rate for a Superior room by booking one of their pre-pay 'no changes/no cancellations' offers. We were really impressed with the friendly staff and clean, large, comfortable room. All the small extra features like free local custard tarts, chocolates, fresh flowers in the room and good hairdryer added to our enjoyment. The bathroom was great with an overhead shower and Hermes toiletries. And the most comfortable bed we'd ever slept in!

The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main squares and a couple of the underground stations. The regular airport bus stops just up the road. As the hotel is on a main road then there's a bit of road noise, but not more than you'd get in any busy city.

One of the best hotels in this type of price range we've stayed in. Very much recommended.

My wife and I just got back from spending 3 nights at the Sofitel in Lisbon. The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance from everything. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were the best we stayed at during our week in Portugal.
We loved the bed, pillows (very important to me!), and the bathroom was one of the best of all the hotels we've stayed at in Europe....love the powerful overhead shower head!

I was very impressed with the staff-they were genuinely friendly and helpful, without being intrusive or fawning. Our party included my 80 year old father and they were very thoughtful and helpful with him. They laid on transfers to and from the airport at pretty much the standard taxi rate (60 euro for 5 of us + luggage).

The breakfasts were good and the rooms were incredibly comfortable. Given the excellent location, I wouldn't choose to stay anywhere else in Lisbon.

It's not the cheapest hotel in the city but for GBP60/night each I doubt that we could have had a better stay

We just returned from a 2 night stay and loved this hotel.

We had booked a very reasonable non-refundable rate and knew that we had booked the lowest grade room on offer.

In spite of that, our room was beautifuuly decorated and furnished and our window (which was a little small) looked out over a beautiful park. The bathroom was quite luxurious and the Hermes toiletries a nice added touch .

The beds were indeed very comfortable although I would have liked the choice of a lighter duvet - I probably should have asked as I'm sure the staff would have done their best to accomodate me.

All of the staff members we encountered were pleasant and very helpful and they all seemed to speak English which was great for those of us who don't speak any Portuguese.

For us, the location was ideal. A fast walk or metro or tram ride to anywhere we wanted to go.

In our opinion, Sofitel is an excellent brand and the Sofitel Lisbon is an excellent hotel.

The day before our arrival we called to see if a cot could be set up in our room upon arrival, as we were expected to land late and we have a 2 year old who would be ready to go straight to bed. At that time we were informed that there was a problem with our booking and we only had a single. The hotel was fully booked. However, they were able to make a change the following morning and we boarded our flight with no worries. Upon arrival we were informed that there was, in fact, no double available and we had received incorrect information that morning. They scrambled to get us a room at a neighboring hotel for the night and asked us to return the next day for the remainder of our stay. We took our sleeping boy into a cab and went to the hotel provided. The next morning, after toddler proofing and unpacking some of our things we were not inclined to move back. We called Sofitel and explained that we would like to remain where we were. Would there be a penalty to pay. We were told that there would not be a charge as it was their error and they were sorry it had not worked out. We then committed to the hotel we were in for our entire stay and went out sight-seeing. Upon our return there was a message from the Sofitel manager telling us we'd be charged for one night's stay at Sofitel. This after we had confirmed there would be no charge and despite the initial error being theirs. Well we of course protested in person, but they refused to budge. It seems to me that a large chain like Sofitel would be better off writing off one night's stay to ensure the satisfaction of a client they had wronged-- especially when the entire hotel was booked save the one room we decided not to take! I think it was incredibily miserly of them to charge us for the room and I warn others to beware. Perhaps the stay here is good-- that I wouldn't know, but should something go wrong through no fault of your own be prepared to pay.
