We are very happy with the service given by the hotel staff. They assigned us the room we have asked for and were kind to us all the time. The room is almost perfect, the only minor side is the size of the window, but you do not come to Lisboa to stay in your hotel room!
In the last days one of the two computers at the lobby was out of order, which the technical support should have repaired immediately considering that it is from the most expensive computer brand available.
We definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel a bit away from downtown Lisbon.. Near 2 good museums and the zoo
5 min walk to metro then 15-20 mins to the action. 10 euros to the airport. A major problem was the stuffy bedrooms and v noisy air conditioning that did not work that well, making sleeping v difficult.

Get a room high up at the back with a view and sight of aircraft approaching the airport.
Breakfast good with omletts made on request. Overall good value but the stuffy bedrooms which are not uncommon to Novotel rooms are a real issue for me at least.

We spent two days there in April 2013 with our kids. They had an offer and therefore the price was attractive (around 114 euros per night for two connecting rooms). Our rooms were on the last floor. We had a great view but were also a bit irritated by the plan taking off from the nearby airport. The rooms were fin although I think that the carpet could be changed. The real problem we had was with our two boys who came back with their face and part of their body full of spots. Although we have clearly no evidence of it, we fear that they were bitten by bedbugs (they shared one of the beds and their sister did not and had no spots). Otherwise, good breakfast buffet and friendly service.

It's like a home for me.. I like clean bathrooms, good bed - and fast internet service...
locations of Novotel's are very good - or near or IN the centre, close to the railway... so I like it and nobody can change this..

Our stay at this wonderful hotel was not of our choosing, but an enforced 2-day stopover paid for by our airline whose employees were on strike. First of all the Reception: perfection underestimates the charm and kindness of the superb team who looked after us so well. Second, the room. Even in top 5-stars we have never had one more comfortable and convenient, although certainly more ostentatious. Thirdly, location. Lisbon is a difficult city: one with splendid attractions in history, culture and entertainment. But they ae spread out all over the city and there is an awful lot of decrepit stuff in between. There is no ideal place to stay, but this location is close to the Gulbenkian, for many the number 1 site on the wish list. Two metro stations are a 10-minute walk ( unfortunately both the Blue Line ), and a number of buses pass the door. Next, amenities include free wifi ( that may only have been for the time we were there, as prices are actually advertised), and a restaurant that offers value-packed buffet lunches (16 euros) and dinners (15 euros), while serving a first class buffet breakfast that was included in our nominal 79 euros double accommodation. Elevators rise and descend like lightening and there are 3 of them. There were actually 2 showers in our bath: one the traditional front-end device; the other operating from the ceiling; and of course the bath itself if you wanted to have one. Our initial discomfort with a lumpy duvet and request for sheets and blankets was fulfilled within 10 minutes of asking. It is easily the most impressive of nearly 60 Accor hotels in which we have stayed and it would be our first choice on a return visit to Lisbon.

Wound up staying at this hotel by mistake but what a great night we had.......Our plane got diveted to Lisbon whilst en route to Madeira and we were landed at the Novotel fo our overnight before flying onto Funchal the next morning. Lovely hotel, staff were brilliant as they were landed with 100 people to deal with practically without prior knowledge. The buffet they put up for us was fantastic and they also opened the kitchen at 5am so we all could have breakfast prior to flying on to Madeira.
