Stayed for 4 nights at Novotel Lisboa early August. It's a modern hotel, great facilities, nice lobby, fantastic breakfast and dining menu/options, fast W-Fi in the room.

Only downside is the faulty air-conditioning unit in our room when we checked-in, which we complained to front desk but was not fixed. We requested to be transferred to another room but was told that hotel was fully booked. They offered to have the windows open, but it was of little help and there was much noise coming from the streets so we had to close it. Thus, the first night stay was not really a comfortable one for me and my kids (think we managed to sleep around 3:00am). However, they did give us another room the next day.

Parking was a bit steep at 11 EUR per day (i.e., overnight stay) or 5 EUR per hour. There's an option to park free (off-street parking) at back of the hotel, but limited to about a dozen cars. But there's also paid off-street parking in front of the hotel, which is very reasonable (and free from 1900 to 0900H next day).

Also, the hotel is not near the city centre as it's in the Campolide district (sort of a business area). The nearest Metro (Praca de Espanha) is about a 10 to 15 minute walk form the hotel.

Breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced at 11 EUR/person (and kids eat free, so really good value for money). Dinner buffet is also available at 18 EUR/person, which is also good value.

Overall, it's a great hotel especially if you get the good promo rates being offered in hotel comparison sites.

Room Tip: Always check the aircon unit in the room when checking in.

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights whilst visiting Lisbon.

Overall it's typically Novotel. Good ground floor, seems to have space, a great lounge and internet terminals.

Room on 11th floor, spacious, tea and coffee making facilities, good bed, bath with shower over the tub, safe and large range of TV stationsAll up to standard.

Lifts were very slow. As we went down we we're repeatedly full opening each floor to dejected faces. Overall a small issue.

Parking 12 euro, dinner 17 euro and very good. Walk to metro a little convoluted but it takes 5 to 10 minutes. Pool open between 8 to 8.

So happy with hotel feeling rested.

Drove down from Porto to stay one night in Lisbon. Arrived around 3pm and checked in. Front desk were helpful in advising where metro was and Benfica FC stadium.

Comfortable room with great beds and powerful shower so everything about the room was good. Great sleep and then had to queue for breakfast despite there being a massive restaurant area. In fairness, the restaurant had posted quiet and busy times for breakfast in prominent areas. Didn't have to wait long and the hot and cold breakfast items were great and set us up for the day ahead. Nice cool swim in the pool before breakfast.

Overall, this was a good choice of hotel.

Room Tip: High floors at back of hotel will provide an inward city view

We enjoyed staying at the Novotel in Lisboa. The staff were friendly. The lounge bar was a relaxing and inexpensive place to spend a late afternoon and/or early evening. There were very few eateries close to the hotel as it is in the financial district. We walked a lot or caught taxis which were reasonably priced. We wanted a hotel with a pool and the price was good. Breakfasts had a good variety. We had breakfast early but there seemed to be a queue when we were heading out at 9-9.30, however the dining area was quite large with outside as well. Rooms were clean. During our stay it was quite. Definitely recommend this hotel unless you want to be very close to the old part of the city.
