We stayed here during the Easter week. One Ibis hotel is much like another, but this one has several advantages. It's close to Saldanha metro (two lines) and many buses stop there too, including one that goes down towards Belem (so you avoid having to change.)
There's a classy mall, Atrium, in the same place.
The rooms are a bit more spacious than other Ibis we have stayed in; the rooms are typically spartan, the bed was large, and shower etc., all OK.. The room was well maintained.
The staff at reception were very courteous, polite and helpful.
The breakfast was fine, particularly good were the cakes and pastries, the DIY orange juice machine, and hurrah! a coffee machine (the smaller one) which actually makes real espresso coffee.
If you don't want to be in a crowd, and there are plenty of crowds downtown at Easter, this hotel suits you.
If you don't take hotel breakfasts, then there are nearby cafés (see separate review for Pastelaria Sequeira) and a good restaurant (see O Moises) five minutes away.
Strongly recommended for a hotel of this category.
First class operation. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was optional, the selections were great. The breakfast area was well maintained. Location was ok but be prepared to walk,
The quality of sleep is a crucial factor for any hotel, and the Ibis Saldanha Lisboa has certainly managed to put up a good fight.
The hotel rooms aren't going to amaze you, but they are sufficiently comfortable, and include a television and a desk to work at. Unfortunately, the room I stayed in didn't have electric sockets near the bed, which made it complicated to charge my phone over night. The bathrooms are spacious, but weren't prepared with complementary favours.
The lobby is possibly one of the strong points of the hotel, with an interesting decoration and plenty of room to relax, work, take a break and have a beer.
Didn't stay for breakfast, so there isn't much I can say about the quality of the breakfast.
The hotel is well located, near public transports, shopping and all your basic needs. The staff were all very pleasant.
In the end, if you're just looking for a place to spend the night, the Ibis Saldanha is a good choice.
