This was our second stay at the IBIS in Avenida Jose Malhoa. The location is a bit odd, however it is convenient for Sete Rios railway station and not too far from the Sao Sebastao, the last stop on the metro station to and from the airport, about a 10 minutes or so walk. It is a bit further from the hotel but the slightly nearer metro station, Praca de Espanha, involves changing to the Blue metro line at Sao Sebastao, waiting for the train and going up and down stairs and along corridors. The nearest supermarket, El Corte Ingles, is very close one of the exits from Sao Sebastao metro station.
The IBIS itself is quite nice with a fairly large bar area. There is quite a nice breakfast room and the breakfast is fair value. The coffee machines are a bit idiosyncratic The rooms are typical IBIS rooms – small, rather basic but comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Had to spend 3 nights in Lisbon. It was a good choice. Clean, modern amenities, variety of TV channels. Food was not exciting but was not an issue for me, there are all kinds of restaurants along the street anyway.

Careful with the taxis though. Got one who tried to give me a tour of the city when I hadn't asked!!!!

Professional and friendly staff and for this kind of service, for the price, I'd stay there again. The beds are comfortable. It's a no frills no fuss hotel well worth the price!
