We stayed at Hotel Lisboa Palaza for six nights. For the purpose of sightseeing. It was the second stay for us and came to like this hotel more and more. Nothing was better than their warm attentions for us who had travelled from far(after 24 hours moving). The receptionists, the barman and the person in charge of dining room...all of them rememberd and welcomed us.

The reception is so helpful. When I asked about the strike of public transportation, they checked it immediately and told me in detail. Also, they know about GOOD restaurants of local dishes near the hotel.

There always are glass pitchers in front of the reception for the visitors' refleshment. They contain water with peppermint, sliced orange or lemon for each. I think it is much appreciated offer for every visitor.

However Portugal is far from our country, we do hope to visit there and stay at Hotel Lisboa Palaza again.

You don't want a five stars. Neither a dodgy grunge oozy average one. No mirror tower. No fragile antiquity. Somewhere elegant and cheerful, well-equipped and central, with smiles at the reception. The cluster of Heritage Hotels (they all have different names) is for you. Lisboa Plaza might sound dull : the place definitely deserves a better one. But there is something magic, unexpected, indeed convincing, something you will remember forever : candles at breakfast. Candles in August. In the hottest month in Lisbon. And this soft light, this comforting feeling when you wake up, is just perfect to reorder your thoughts, enjoy the food, make plans for the day, feel smooth, and alert, and blessed, and ready to swallow the city. Ready to face the broad daylight, on these extraordinary, shiny, graphic, majolique and azulejo pavements, striding as a king, or a queen.

Room Tip: Don't take any bus. Walk all the way through most lively places ro the Museu do Azulejo. Indulg...

We stayed with a small group over New Year and found the hotel excellent in all respects. The spread at breakfast was amazing in its generosity and variety, and we had two buffet dinners as well which were of the highest quality. Staff were always helpful and the location perfect for city visiting on foot or by metro. The room could be set as a double or as a twin: it was a little cramped with twin beds but fine when set as a double. This is the first hotel I've ever visited with a suggestions box in the lift (!), but we didn't make use of it. There was Wi-Fi in the rooms and also a computer in the lobby where we were able to check in for the return flight and print our boarding cards.

I went with my family and really liked the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The Hotel is old but has very good installations. Beautiful furniture and rooms. The location is also good. Close to downtown Lisboa. There is also a subway station nearby. No kid activities or pool. Price was a bit steep.

01: Newly renovated rooms.
02: Fantastic friendly staffs both the receptionist, porter, chambermaid, restaurant.
03: Food for breakfst was amazing. Fantastically delicious pastries and easy to make yourself coffee with the machine. Makesure you book your hotel with a free breakfast included. Sorry restaurants operates in the morning. Not sure why. But for dinner, you can walk to a nearby restaurant for food or you can venture further down the Liberty streets. There is a HARDROCK CAFE along the Liberty streets. We did not checked it out.
04: Had trouble with VIATOR for our hotel to airport transfer. But the hotel staff and a German gentleman helped us to get arranged for our transport to the airport. My suggestion, booked a taxi from the receptionist. It is cheaper and less worries.
05: Shoppers paradise for those wanting to buy branded clothes. We did our shopping at Massimo Dutti. Reasonably price and polite staffs.
06: No worries for those arriving late at night. You can cheked out the restaurant at the back of the hotel. The fish was super huge. And they are friendly folks. By the way, they can give you a free wifi access if you are dining over there.
07: Nothing bad but good for Portugal/Lisbon/Liberdade Av.
08: Visit the Zoologico. You will not regret. There is a Mcdonald there that operates till 9pm.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for your feedback following your recent stay.
We are very happy that you have enjoyed your stay with us and we would like to clarify some aspects about our Hotel.
At the Lisboa Plaza each room is individually decorated and the Portuguese character is always present. We keep many features of the past that we try to maintain in impeccable condition all the time.
We are pleased that you liked our breakfast and in fact that is the only meal that we normally serve in that room. At the Café Plaza, next to the Bar, we serve light meals all day long till 22.00. Free Wifi is also available everywhere within the Hotel.
We would like to thank you for your kind words about the our staff which we praise very much and we look forward to welcoming you back to Lisbon.

This was our first time to visit Lisbon and we really loved the charm and comfort the Lisboa Plaza Hotel accorded us. The staff were very friendly and the rooms large comfortable and amazingly designed with wood and azulejos. The hotel is set upon an excellent location at the center of the city which provides good access to other parts of the city. The breakfast is outstanding and all other meals served are great too. So if you want to feel the spirit of Portugal this is the hotel I will recommend for you. The people are always friend and the menu in the restaurant is very varied and made to satisfy you. For their efficient staff and great dishes I will give this restaurant a four star rating.

Just got back from the Lisboa Plaza Hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great location. Would heartily recommend this hotel to others and would not hesitate to return. Room was good size, quiet and well maintained / very clean. Black out blinds and curtains meant it was almost pitch black for sleeping. Not much of view from second floor, but I wasn't there to stare out of the windows!
Travelled to hotel on Aerobus, stops at Avenida Metro stop on Avenida da Liberdade 5.50 euros for open return. One minute walk to hotel and return bus stop is directly across road from where you get off.
A Gina's a small restaurant around corner served very good, basic food at reasonable price. Don't get caught out by some of the hard sell restaurants on the main strip, they just try to rip you off - better food elsewhere. All in all, Lisbon is a great place to visit, this is a great place to stay.
