“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

The location is excellent and in walking distance of the main entertainment, dining and shopping areas.
The service is great and while the rooms are on the small side it is not too expensive. Breakfast is not bad. The espresso coffee is excellent.
There is a terrace on the 5th floor where you can have drinks or coffee.
We would stay here again.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in in Europe. It is situated in a quiet street off one of the main avenues,so there is very little traffic noise even in front facing rooms. Our room was quite small, but very well appointed with a lovely marble bathroom. The public rooms are elegantly furnished and pleasant to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is in a large dining room, and the sumptuous buffet caters for all appetites. The highlight for us was the delicious pastry selection and the chocolate fountain. I had chocolate profiteroles for my birthday breakfast- a first!
Above all,the charming and courteous staff added to our very pleasant experience of Lisbon.

I had a wonderful experience at the Lisboa Plaza recently for a business trip. I found everything about it attractive: the location, the appearance of the rooms, the service, and the food. The hotel has a kind of décor that is very quaint and charming, and the lobbies are decorated with fascinating antiques. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, a specialty their specially made pastries, as attractive to look at as they are to sample. The only complaint I had about the buffet (a very small one) was the lack of fresh lemon for my tea. The hotel is conveniently located just off the Avenida da Liberdade and the visitor would cheat himself or herself by not taking walks there and indeed in the neighborhoods literally in every direction away from the hotel, some of which are among the oldest and most characteristic in the city. Wonderful shopping is to be had only a few blocks from this location. One of the most delightful things I learned is that there is a remarkable flea market held on Sunday mornings just a very short distance away on the Avenida da Liberdade. For a hotel of this class, nothing better can be recommended in Lisbon. Certain travelers might be disappointed at the small size of the beds (it is an old, traditional hotel, of course), but that was no issue at all for me, so I loved every minute that I stayed at the Plaza.

Dear Guest,
Thank you so much for your kind feedback following your recent stay at the Lisboa Plaza.
We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and we are very sorry that there was no fresh lemon for your tea on our breakfast buffet. If at anytime there is some item that you don’t find in our buffet, please ask our staff and they will be more than happy to help you. We also would like to clarify that there are different size of beds according to the room category from our Petit/Standard room to the Junior Suites.
We look forward to welcome you again and be able to offer you a most pleasant stay.
Yours sincerely,

Very good value for money. Our room was very clean and well presented, the beds were a little hard but we slept well. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice including hot bacon, scrambled egg ect. Everyone we met who worked there were friendly and welcoming. The location is very good, walking distance to the centre and very close...

Nice hotel, conveniently located near the centre of Lisbon. Room was a little small and the bed was a standard double so no real luxury but was still very pleasant. At least the room had windows that opened and tea and coffee were provided. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Staff very friendly but we got the feeling the hotel was stuck in a bit of a time warp and could do with bringing up to date without losing its 'classy' appeal. Good value for money.

Room Tip: Don't go for the standard room, they're a tad small.

Our first visit to Lisbon and we stayed five nights in this delightful hotel in a quiet side street just off the main avenue and close to busy shops and restaurants in Baixa. Staff were friendly and helpful booking tours for us. The waiting jugs of lemon and mint water in reception were a nice touch. Breakfast was expansive with lots of pastries. Room on the 5th floor was on the small side, with a rather hard bed, but well insulated from outside noise. The hotel is just a short walk from a stop for the Aerobus for travel to and from the airport.
