Stayed here on a Riviera tour for three nights. Hotel is located just off the main avenue in Lisbon - Avenida de Liberdade - and is well situated to get around Lisbon. There is a Metro station close by, Elevador Gloria which rattles up to Barrio Alta is 5 mins walk and you can get down to waterfront in 15/20 mins walk.
The public rooms are beautifully furnished and there is a cosy little bar that serves good beer and wine at very reasonable prices. Complimentary coffee, tea and water are available in a large comfortable room just off reception. Breakfast was very good with a glass of bubbles available if that is your thing with your brekkie.
Bedrooms are not huge but perfectly comfortable. Great service from everyone in the hotel. As another reviewer says a really nice change from the chain hotels.
Would definitely stay here again

After several days of searching and researching we decided on this hotel. Wow, what a really nice hotel. I loved the old charm with modern amenities. The room was very clean and comfortable with quality bathroom with great water pressure. The breakfast buffet was very very good. I only spent 1 night here prior to conference where I spent 4 nights at the Sheraton Lisbon Spa. I would have preferred to stay at the Hotel Lisbon Plaza my entire trip. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very central and well equipped. It is family owned and is a change from a chain hotel experience. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Would recommend unless you would find the slow WiFi an inconvenience, it does need an upgrade and was quite frustrating.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for staying with us and for your comments.
We are most happy that you enjoyed our central location just off the exclusive Avenida Liberdade.
Concerning the wifi, we are very sorry for the issue you had in your room. We carry regular audits on the signal and connectivity on our complimentary wifi system and as a result of your experience we will recheck and ensure that a corrective action is taken immediately. When there is some problem with the wifi in a room, we have an independent system dedicated exclusively to the public areas in order to guarantee permanent access to the internet to our Guests, and also an internet point with printers.
We look forward to welcoming you again and offer you a most pleasant stay.
Yours sincerely,
Diogo Laranjo
General Manager

We stayed three nights in this hotel as part of a Riviera Group holiday- centrally located and very comfortable- friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The coach couldn't park outside the hotel but it was not far to drag the cases. A porter was available to help those who struggled.

Stayed here for 4 nights for my birthday. Location is good, near the metro but we walked or went on the hop on /off bus. Buffet breakfast was plentiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that having viewed the room on line we were not expecting a slightly outdated darker room to that of a more modern one with a settee. While there a notice in the lobby brought our attention to building works at the rear of the hotel, exactly where our room was located. However although they were from 8-8 we did not see or hear anything from the site, which we thought was lucky as it would have spoilt the stay.
