This was a nice, comfortable hotel to stay in for our 3 night stay in Lisbon. The rooms are nothing fancy, but it was clean. We had a very nice view of the park as we were in the front part of the hotel next to the elevators. They do charge if you use the telephone to make even local calls (as we did to make some dinner reservations, so watch out for that!), and the wireless internet only worked sporadically for us (although it was free, which was nice). Breakfast was pretty good, but it is really the staff that makes this place so recommendable. They were so nice and attentive, they answered all of our touristy questions and helped us to navigate the city well. They recommended that we take the hop on, hop off city tour bus (Grey Line), which we did end up doing and I'm so glad that we did as it was a great way to see the city. Many of the interesting sights are spread out all over the city and are not within walking distance so this is a nice and relaxing way to see everything while listening to the history of each sight via the earphones that are provided. Bottom line: If you're on a bit of a budget, or would rather spend more money on food, sightseeing, shopping etc., this is your place!

Room Tip: Ask for view of the park!

I stay at this hotel on December for 3 nights. This hotel was very close to a stop for the airport bus which was nice after a long flight the night before. The rooms were clean, spacious compared to a lot of other hotels I've stayed at throughout Europe, the bathroom has a full size shower/tub which can be hard to find, and extremely close to a metro stop which gets you into the center of town in a few minutes. My only complaint was the beds were pretty hard. I'd stay here again and recommend it if I knew people traveling to Lisbon.

The Miraparque is excellent value for money. A family of 2 adults and 4 children, we had two triple rooms which were of a good size and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and well maintained. The beds were rather hard, but this did not adversely effect our sleep. The pillows were rather lumpy and one on each bed. We asked for more pillows, which arrived very quickly from room service, but again very lumpy, but you can't be too choosy and they were ok. Breakfast at the hotel was adequate and the usual buffet style, which was the same each day, but plenty of choices, although the 'fruit juices' as they were called were more of a 'squash and water', but maybe this is the norm. All the staff were professional and helpful. The reception staff were excellent, very friendly and particularly good in answering questions tourists have. Nothing was too much trouble and we did get some good advice and recommendations from them. Internet access was nice to have, but at 3 euros for 1/2 an hour would have been better if it was free. Unfortunately, at the back of the hotel, you don't have much of a view, but who stands and looks out of their hotel window all day! The area is fairly quite and we felt safe walking around in the evening. We didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast, but the menu did look nice. The hotel is situated on a long steepish hill, so you have to walk up a few metres to the doors, but a leisurley walk makes it managable. The hotel is approx a 5 minute walk to the Marques de Bombal monument and the top of the main street Avenida de Liberdade. The hotel is is only 100m from the metro station "Parque". The architexture was wonderful to see and lots of tiled buildings of wonderful designs. Some of the street graffiti art is amazing and well worth a walk to look at. All in all we had an enjoyable 5 days in Lisbon and would recommend the hotel for a good value for money base.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back overlook car park and back of other buildings. Rooms at the front overlook the street and park

We stayed at the hotel, with our 5 year old daughter, for six nights at the end of October, in a Junior Suite (at no extra charge).

The hotel is well located, about 2km north from the centre, and only 100m from the metro station "Parque". Our room was small, but with an extra room set out as a sitting room, with a sofa bed. Using the sofa bed inolves stacking up the other items of furniture to make room. The bathroom was large, smart and seemed to have been recently refurbished. Unfortunately, at the back of the hotel, you don't have much of a view. The area is fairly quite, and safe.

Breakfast is the usual buffet style, without much varriety from day to day. The restaurant provides good food in the evenings (Monday to Friday) at a reasonable cost. There is a special offer if you stay 4 nights, with one dinner free (excluding drinks, but the wine is very reasonably priced).

The staff were all very helpful and pleasant, and the receptionists were particularly good in answering all those questions tourists have. This hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have no view, but the front overlooks the park.

We stayed at the Miraparque Hotel for 4 beautiful nights. The location allowed us to move about the city with ease utilizing public transportation. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the restaurant within the hotel. All of the staff were friendly, professional and seem to enjoy their work. The rooms were clean and it was nice to have a window in the bathroom. We appreciated having internet access. We will stay at this hotel when we return to Lisbon.
