Lovely home, fully equipped, great location, kind and helpful owner and staff.
Amazing view just next door!
Good restaurants, grocery stores within walking distance, metro station is also easy to reach.
You can leave your bag with them, if u have late flight.
Thank you!

My partner and me stayed in the apartment for a long weekend. We felt very welcome and had a great stay. The apartment was very neat, equipped with any necessary bathroom and kitchen items. We loved the small & cozy terrace. The apartment is situated in the area with some traditional and modern-hip places to eat and drink. You will definitely have enough of choice. Thank you for the great experience, Diogo!

The little apartments surround a small, quaint courtyard. The rooms themselves are quite nice and have all the amenities that you require for a short trip to Lisbon. The location is perfect, within walking distance of all the "central sights", with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The staff is super helpful and will always attempt to accommodate and inform you the best they can.
HOWEVER. Hot. If you sweat with one ray of sunshine prepare yourself to sleep naked and far away from whomever you're traveling with. Also, if you are a millennial or otherwise wifi indulgent, the aparthotel will cause you some stress, as the signal is weak in the rooms and you have to creep up to the manager's room in order to load your e-mail.
Nevertheless, you are on holiday ,so you should disconnect. Portugal is hot so you should be as naked as legally acceptable.

We stated at Pateo Santo apartments in November. The apartment was small, but had everything we needed. It was modern, clean and comfortable. The staff were super helpful and welcoming. Lovely little terrace. The price was very good. The only problem was it was a bit hard to find, with no real sineage.
Very central with lots of good restaurants nearby.
Would happily recommend. Good value for money.

The location is excellent but there a few cautions to be aware of.
It really is a case of reading the fine print and/or asking some pre-booking questions about what a 'fan' means and as a result how it affects air conditioning.

1. These apartments are not air conditioned. There is an electrical fan provided to each unfortunate soul who has booked their stay during a period of high temperatures. It is probably of the value of about 12 euro/15 US dollars quality.
It is a standard plug in fan.
The rooms are unbearably warm as a result. The air simply does not circulate despite all windows being open. It is cooler being out of the apartment than being in it.

Windows cannot be left open when you leave the apartment due to security reasons which makes it like a sauna when you return each day.
Having the windows open while home makes privacy impossible and so watching tv is out also because you cannot have the sound up very high.

This makes it incredibly difficult to sleep. It has led to upset among many people staying here who have made the same mistake as I did when booking and are suffering now as a result. I have stayed here the last three nights and have one more to go. Trust me when I say if I had known, I would have cancelled without hesitation but the insistence on payment before giving over the keys is almost always a sign of an owner trying to hide something.

In most places, I have stayed where it states fan. It means a ceiling fan and not a desk or table fan.

2. The bathroom is tiny. The shower has no holders for shower gels so you have to (with great difficulty) bend down to try and pick up the shampoo/shower gel/conditioner you use in a space that is smaller than standing in a old phone box.

It is a pity because, the location is good and we wanted it to be a success but certainly the overwhelming heat, lack of a real air conditioning system means that this apartment complex is a non-starter during periods of hot weather.

Dear Mr Oliver

I am very sorry to hear that you have had such a disappointing stay with us and that we couldn't get anything right for you.
First this is true it hot during august in Lisbon, I understand comparing Ireland it must be a big temperature diference. You are speaking about my small accommodation as the the castle of horrors, I am happy you are the unique to say that.
I don t think I have anything to hide, the payment is done at check-in as written in your reservation with booking.com and clients always see the room before settle the balance. I am always here to arrange the guests.
Which make me really sad is that you and me are adults correct? So why you haven t told me directly by voice to me directly or by phone, probably must easier to do that in the back of people. This is no a place for unhappy people, because we are always to help in all we can do.
If I knew your disappointment after the first night I would gave you the money back and and help you to find an other place to stay, I did that last year with a lady because there were to much stairs for her walking.

Thank you for your feed back, I take in consideration all your comment .

Best regards.
Mariza
