This hostel has a good location, in a charming area of Lisbon. There's a bar in the reception and a big lounge area outside with pillows to sit on, which is a nice touch. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the Cais do Sodre trainstation, and there is a metro (and the bus to the airport) just a few minutes from the hostel. Be prepared for some uphill walking and a few stairs to get up to the hostel. If you have health problems that could make this difficult, you should consider getting a hotel on the ground level of town.
The rooms were clean and the bed was super comfortable. The showers were quite big and spacious. However, prepare to be eaten by mosquitos at night: our room had no AC so it got really hot at night and we had to open the window, which resulted in a looot of bugs. We also only got one ladder for the three bunk beds, and the beds are pretty elevated, making it difficult to get into bed for the people staying in the top bed. The toilets seemed to always be out of soap and toilet paper. I'm quite sure if you went and told the staff about these things they would sort it out for you though.More
