Casa do Patio is a nicely refurbished collection of rooms and apartments set around an open courtyard in a lovely district of Lisbon, 15 mins walk from the heart of the city.

The staff were kind and helpful and spoke good English. I had health problems and needed medical assistance and the staff were extremely helpful and supportive.

Our room was an apartment on the 4th floor. It was attractive, very well appointed and spacious with a serviceable kitchen and a nice view. The entire district is on a hill (it's called the Upper Town) and is a pleasant maze of narrow streets and squares, some with fine vistas, and a good range of restaurants, bars and small shops (including a very decent covered market).

A taxi from the airport should cost no more than Eu20, or you can travel by metro and tram. The No 28 tram stops two minutes walk from the hotel and takes you to the main metro hub, downtown or onwards to the bustle of Alfama.

I hope to go back!

Extremely helpful and bilingual staff, the location is very good, although a little difficult to find (I think this is a problem throughout the old part of Lisbon). Breakfasr was continental but plentiful, the staff cheerful and the atmosphere very friendly. Everyone was most helpful, the room was modern and very clean and the tips for getting about spot on. All in all - great place!

Thanks to the kindness of the staff (thank you to the whole team!!), we had a great stay at Casa do Patio. Our room (#201) was spacious and despite the fact that it's above the breakfast room, it was very quiet. The breakfast was perfect: freshly baked cakes, cereal bread, fresh fruits and juice. We really appreciated the good advices for the restaurants and the must see places in Lisbon. We'll certainly come back during a next stay in this beautiful city!

The warm and kind welcome will always stay in our minds. There's really no second chance to make a good first impression! Rafa and his team made it. You immediately feel like "one of the family". Brilliant and very efficient first introduction of the city's highlights through very competent and staff.
THANKS AGAIN AND TWO THUMBS UP FOR A CASA DO PATIO, LISBON.

Room Tip: Room #18 is perfect for a party of 4 people.

The apartment was lovely, very quiet and spacious. The location was great - near to Bairro Alto and with nothing too far away. The subway and the tram were very near. Jessica and Rafael, could not have been more helpful or friendly, greats hosts! The staff was very efficient and friendly. Like the first time we stay, the whole experience was delightful! We would definitely stay again...very soon!

First of all i just like to thank all the staff for their time in helping us have a wonderful stay in Lisbon The hotel is very clean, we had room 14 , with a very comfortable bed and a tv , and great powerful shower. Breakfast a really relaxed , fruit juice (freshly squeezed) rolls , cheese , ham cereals , and beautiful fruit , We did the first day of exploring in Lisbon its quiet hilly so maybe go to the Castle St George and work you way through Lisbon walking down . A recommended day trip (or 2 ) if weather permitting is Cascais ,lovely beaches , good reasonable restaurants and fresh fish , it a very nice town and just half an hour by train .I can also recommend the restaurant Madragoa Cafe (short cab ride from Casa do Patio )for very typical Portuguese cuisine but i will write a review in the restaurant section . Casa do Patio deserves its very high rating on here , we will be Back !!!! THANKYOU

The first advantage of this property is the very good staff. Nice people with fluent English, helpful. Interesting that the brief with orientation about Lisbon is a part of reception process and it is done before distribution of room keys. I have never seen this before. The brief is really helpful, this is the point!
Second advantage - it is not hotel and not similar to. It is a kind of urban living in an old two storey house with a large patio and separate entries to each apartment from the patio.
Breakfast is good. Tea, coffee, some snacks - 24 hours.
The location is convenient, in the silent street. The room itself - spotless clean.
