We went there couple of times for dinner. I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place, dark wooden decoration and nice service. U can enjoy a decent portuguese cuisine for good price.

Good Portuguese food. Nice atmosphere. A bit loud but you get used to it. Next to the best disco in town: Urban

Being part of a team bringing a site visit to Lisbon in order to accomodate a scientific conference, we sought an appropriate place for the "gala dinner" of this conference, which typically is an evening event in which all guests come together to mix social with science talk whilst enjoying a good dinner. The Adega is the right place to go to - and also for much smaller events. The ground level features an informal restaurant with good food at a very reasonable price. The upper floor hosts the true "gala" restaurant, suited for formal dining, but at the same time equipped with a disco and a nice view on the Tagus river.

A lovely restaurant, with a very interesting decor, and a sample of the Portuguese cuisine, a pale sample actually, but that will permit a visitor to taste of different Portuguese dishes. It is a place for large group and if you are thinking of a romantic dinner probably you want to go somewhere else.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lisbon. I usually go there when I want to show my foreign friends the variety and quality of Portuguese food. It's located near Tagus river (Tejo), on the basement of Kais restaurant but don't let this scare you, because the atmosphere there is quite fun, special, dark and sometimes noisy (if big groups are eating there) and as soon as you enter you understand why it's called Adega (cellar) - long wooden tables, wine barrels, wine bottles on the walls... it's really an amazing place! Pay attention that to enter this restaurant, you need the stairs that go down (to the basement of the building) and not the ones that go up (to Kais restaurant).
As soon as you seat down, the feast begins... 5 or 6 starters, 6 fish plates, 5 meat plates, and 4 or 5 deserts... the waiters serve small portions of each and you can repeat how many times you want. And everything there is typical Portuguese… My recommendation: don't eat a lot in the beginning, because you won't be able to taste everything... enjoy this nice restaurant :)
