Owner description: We’re an Incoming Tour Operator and DMC in Portugal, focused in developing charming & luxury travel services and special events. Our specialization is to provide tailor-made, personalized and creative travel planning, where all details are important. We have started our business in 2003 and we became a Virtuoso On-Site to Portugal in January 2008 as a natural recognition of our reliable and special way of work. In 2014, Tours For You was nominated by Virtuoso as one of the best 5 On-Sites Providers in the world! Two other unique references to mention about us: our General Manager was elected as the Conde Nast Traveler “TOP Travel Specialist to Portugal” in 2009-2013. We are passionate to provide a great pre-sales service, giving all needed support to partner travel consultants when assisting their customer’s requests and always with a very quick answer from our side. Also, we have a very deep knowledge of bespoke travel solutions in Portugal, having great relationships with local hotels and other suppliers, important for the creation of “the” special travel package, including insider’s access for the genuine experience, whenever requested. What does this means? Our client will experiment an infallible and memorable stay while in Portugal and with a local contact for any support they’ll need (24h/7d). We have the most original and diversified travel solutions available in Portugal (from the most charming guided tours to a complete offer of excellent self-drive tours packs, designed for independent travelers and, not forgetting our special events organization) and we keep constantly improving year after year. Our friendly, homogeneous and efficient back office support is also raved by our partners. Due to our great networking, our clients are also treated as “Kings and Queens” by our local suppliers and partners (hotels, guides, transports, restaurants…).

“These guys know Portugal”
Reviewed 9 July 2013

Husband and I used Tours for You to help us plan an eleven day trip in Portugal. We wanted everything ~ self drive opportunities, guides for Lisbon and Porto, transfer from previous leg of trip in Spain, great food, photo opportunities of beautiful architecture and landscapes, and wine! Everything was Wonderful! They developed a great itinerary that we had input on. They were so friendly and timely on getting us information (email mostly). All of the hotels, posadas, and sites we visited were exactly as described. In a word Outstanding!
Portugal is a lovely country, full of adventure, great roads, and not spoiled by too many tourist. The people are charming, language is not an issue at all, and the food and wine are fabulous.
Obrigada, we will be back

“Can't imagine a better tour company in Lisbon...a great 3 days for us”
Reviewed 26 December 2011

We used Tours For You to book several different tours and hotels on our recent trip to Spain and Portugal. We were very pleased with them and would highly recommend them. The staff communicated throughout the booking process up and until the tours were completed. We had one issue with the use of our credit card, but they were a patient and we were able to work through that.

The hotel recommendations on their website are very good and many are highly recommended hotels on TripAdvisor. There were no problems with the hotel reservations they made for us, Hotel 1898 in Barcelona and Hotel Britania in Lisbon. You can see my reviews for these at each of the hotel TripAdvisor sites.

We also booked pickup at our cruise ship, a private full day tour of Lisbon, a private dull day tour to Fatima, Batalha, Alcobaca, Nazare and Obidos, a private full day tour of Queluz, Sintra and Estoril with drop-off at the airport. All of these were based on their recommended tours on the website. Our tour guide was outstanding with tremendous knowledge of history and the ability to speak several languages. His English was very good, and he was a very good and safe driver adjusting the tours based on the weather and our interests. We generally don’t like to spend a lot of time shopping and/or eating, but prefer to spend as much time sightseeing as possible.

Lisbon experienced very heavy fog the 3 days we were there but our guide still did a great job of showing us all the sites he could and providing us with the history behind them. In addition to the items listed on their tour on the website, we were even able to fit Quelez into the day so that we could spend more time at Sintra on the final day.

On the second day we headed to Fatima, Batalha, Alcobaca, Nazare and Obidos and the weather was great. Since we were in the off-season, we were able to see all these sites as none were very crowded. I understand that during the high season this would not be possible. Again, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites and we were able to pack more into this day then we thought possible.

On our final day, the weather continued to provide an impact but we still had a great visit to Sintra and Estoril with the addition of a tour to the Mafra National Palace. We first headed to Cascais and Estoril since Sintra was heavily fogged in and rainy. We were able to see most of the sites. We then went to Sintra and unfortunately it was very foggy and raining heavily when we arrived. We were able to see the Pena Palace and enjoyed lunch and walking around the town but we look forward to going back, and booking with Tours for You, to a couple days of touring the Sintra area. What an amazing area. Since we couldn’t do as much in Sintra as we had planned, our guide headed out to Mafra for a short visit before dropping us off at the airport. Mafra was quite interesting and I would highly recommend it.

After another packed day, we arrived at the airport with more than enough time to spare before our flight. When we head back to Portugal, we will definitely use Tours for You and would highly recommend them you. The prices can be high, but we find the value of having a personal tour with Tours for You outweighs the cost.

“Tours for You in Portugal planned a wonderful tour for us!”
Reviewed 17 December 2008

We arranged a private 5-day tour of Portugal with tour company "Tours for You" in September 2008. From planning our tour with Orvil Russo via email, to meeting our guide Ines Monteiro, it was a heavenly experience. Ines met us at our hotel in Lisbon, and drove us to the Alentejo region, where we visited Evora, Arriolos and Estremoz. Staying at the Pousada da Rainha Sta. Isabel was quite an experience--very grand! The next day we headed back to the coast, traveling to Obidos via Vila Vicosa and Monsaraz, where we stayed at my favorite hotel, the Casa das Senhoras Rainhas. Had a marvelous dinner at their restaurant, and then left the next day for Coimbra via Nazare, Alcobaca and Batalha. The Quinta das Lagrimas hotel was beautiful, with garden-like grounds. On to Porto, where we stayed at the Pestana Porto, right on the river. A port wine tasting and relaxing stroll along the waterfront ended our tour, with a drive back to Lisbon via Sintra, visiting Pena Palace. The tour company was responsive, professional and Ines was a delightful guide (she has national certification, so was a wealth of information). She was also mindful of giving us "alone time" during the day during and after lunch. We saw all the important sites, but still had free time to relax and absorb the fabulous Portuguese countryside. A fabulous and memorable tour, which was one week of a 3 week vacation to Barcelona and the Pyrenees.
