“Great location”

Stayed in this hotel for four nights doing a city break in Lisbon. Taxi from the Airport was E10.

Really close to Olaisas Metro station (50 metres) - the hotel reception staff were great for giving us initial directions to Rossio. It was about 20 minutes into the centre of Lisbon and it is a walking City - even if the hills are steep!

There was a supermarket within 100 metres which was good for "daily travel" provisions. We did not explore around the hotel further so cannot comment on restaurants etc. in the vicinity.

The room had great views over Lisbon.

We recently stayed for an overnight in this hotel while on our travel with a large group. Hotel is close to a metro station and a supermarket is also just next door where one can buy everything that may be needed at a very reasonable price. Hotel is reasonably clean and comfortable. We were allotted a room on the backside with no view but as we just had to sleep for few hours it didn't made any difference to us. One can ask for front room where there is a great stunning river view is available.

Room Tip: Rooms on front side that has river view.

We loved the location - close to the metro station, not far from the airport (we paid £8 from the airport to the hotel), close to the Oriente - Oceanario & shopping mall. The breakfast was varied, the room and the bathroom were very comfortable. The staff were helpful and polite. We really enjoyed our stay and intend to go back to this hotel next time we visit Lisbon.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the river are a bonus.

We drove into Lisbon, which was difficult, but the staff the hotel were very welcoming by dealing with our carpark and luggage when we arrived. The hotel is very close to the Metro station which is easy to use. Our room was very comfortable and had a good shower. The breakfast was great and had a variety of food to choose from. The breakfast staff were very professional and courteous, especially as there were large numbers wanting tables.I would recommend this hotel to others.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 16th floor, away from the road, and was very quiet.

I recently stayed at the Altis Park on two separate occasions. Once with a large tour group and then I returned a few days later for an additional stay in Lisbon. I found the hotel clean, in good condition, amd with an excellent breakfast. The hotel staff was exceptional. This included everyone I had contact with, from the hotel housekeeping lady, the very friendly doormen, and the very helpful desk staff. The all seemed genuinely happy and willing to help with anything you asked. This hotel is not right in the downtown section of Lisbon and is quite a long walk, as I found out. But, the Metro stop is right outside the door of the hotel. I found the Lisbon Metro easy to navigate, safe, and clean. This hotel turned out to be a good location as it was quiet and the price was very affordable. I would highly recommend the Altis Park!

I spent a total of 5 nights at the hotel with my friends during our tour of Portugal. The hotel was generally alright with fairly good service and plentiful breakfasts. The poor quality of coffee was the only drawback as far as meals were concerned. On some days it was so crowded that we had to wait for the elevator for 5 minutes or more to get down to breakfast or an excursion. The ventilation system was so noisy on the one hand and ineffective on the other, that we kept the window open at nights. One more drawback was the unpleasant smells coming from the kitchen from time to time. On the good side I would single out the proximity of the metro station which is only a few meters away from the hotel entrance.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. Overall the hotel itself is very nice & clean on the interior. My room had 2 twin size beds put together, which was fine since I was traveling solo. The room also had a chair & small table along with a desk and a smaller sized flat screen tv (with a few english channels). The room itself was very clean & the view was absolutely awesome (I was on the 15th floor) overlooking the Tagus River. The bathroom had a toilet & what I think was a urinal(?) and a shower/tub. There was no shower curtain only partial glass covering. Water pressure was good & water was nice & hot, although my drain plug got lodged in the drain and had to call housekeeping to pry it out so the tub could drain. Wifi worked well in the room & the front desk has plug adapters if you lose or forget yours to use for free, although be warned if you are using the american one it only had 2 prongs so I couldn't charge my laptop (3 prong plugs do not fit in their adapter). They have 2 desktop computers by the restaurant that are free to use on the 1st floor. There is NO ice machine in this hotel. I ate at the hotel restaurant multiple times & ordered room service a few times. The room service was fairly fast, only took around 20 minutes. I highly suggest you DO NOT eat at the hotel. The food is absolutely horrible & the waitstaff is slow & rude. The one & only good thing I ate from there was their cheeseburger. The breakfast buffet is 12 euro and is NASTY! No selection & what they do have is gross. Runny scrambled eggs, toast, cereal, mushrooms, mini sausages, fruit & rolls/croissants is pretty much all that is there. My advice is SKIP IT. The good news is there is a WONDERFUL pastry shop right next door called Charlot. Love all their pastries & they serve an excellent cup of cappuccino. The people there are extremely pleasant & I made sure to stop in everyday. Back to the hotel, the concierge is VERY helpful & very nice and helped me with whatever I needed, probably the best I've experienced in all my travels. There is a small gift shop that is about the size of a closet in the lobby, but its not even worth going into. The outside neighborhood is a bit on the "rough" looking side (lots of graffiti & trash). If you are a smoker be warned that people (usually homeless ones) will come up to you in front of the hotel begging for cigarettes or money. The concierge is usually out there to shoo them away though. The Metro station is literally a 1 minute walk, very convenient & the station is one of the nicest looking ones, very clean. You can buy an all day Metro pass for about 6 euro which is good for all Metro, buses & trams throughout Lisbon. There is also a mini mall of sorts next door to the hotel that has a grocery store as well. You can buy bottled water for about 10 cents there & just about anything else you might need. Be warned anything sun related like sunblock or after sunburn creams will cost you about 9 euro & the selection is very slim. While you are there be sure to pick up some Kinder Bueno chocolate bars, they are so good you wont regret it! Other then that there really isn't much else to see or do around the actual hotel. Luckily its a very short Metro ride to get just about everywhere else that does have more. Overall for the money I would stay here again, but of course eat elsewhere lol.
