we had a very nice surprise staying at this hotel for a week as the comments we read were not all good .We were influenced by a good comment that we also can now agree with it. The hotel is pleasant and very well situated - very good for transportation everywhere and also for walking to the central lisbon - about 20 to 30 mn .
The room and bathroom big and clean.
We got very good choices in the buffet for breakfast.
The service and help we got from the reception by all the personnal -Daniela and Rafael - was very useful and included a good taxi service to the airport for 15 euro. The metro station was very close and also many buses in all the directions if you care to read the information in the bus stops. We had a fridge and could do some shopping in a nice super M in the road of conde de lule very close to the turn to the hotel.
There are everywhere near all kind of restaurants and coffee shops

Room Tip: We had a very quite room in the last floor - the sixth floor and we did not hear any noice

If this had been listed as a 3-star hotel, I would have been better prepared for what our group ended up getting. We were a large group, so we saw quite a range in the quality of the rooms. Some were in good shape while others were in desperate need for repair. I was in a room for single-occupancy that was cramped. My mattress and pillow were hard and the sheets a bit threadbare. The worst part was that my room faced the street - the noise made it very difficult to sleep.

The wifi worked ok at best - when I could get on it was slow. Then what I assume was heavy usage all of a sudden I could not get on... got error message that too many users were on the system. The front desk gave me the password for a second wi-fi network in the hotel, but that one only worked in the lobby. So in the late afternoon/early evening you could see about 15 people in the lobby using that network as they could no longer access it in their rooms.

No iron or board, but that is fairly common from other hotels I've stayed in Europe. The AC was not very strong, but it was working. I do wonder how it will fare in the strong summer months as temperatures were actually pretty mild while we were there. Water pressure was ok compared to other hotels in Europe.

Breakfast was basic but ok - while it got repetitive after 3 days, it was not bad. There is no "restaurant" in the hotel, so all your other meals have to be at other locations.

The location was the biggest issue... as others have mentioned, the hotel is very close to strip bars. We also ran into a prostitute right in front of the hotel at about 9pm...

If the hotel were rated 3-stars, I would have given it a rating of 3(Average). For a hotel with a 4-star rating it definitely fell below expectations and so is rated 2(Poor).

...but our experience of this hotel (13-20 May 2014) was very positive. It's very comfortable, with good air conditioning, really good beds, several English speaking TV channels (hooorray when tired!) and a safety deposit box. We chose room only and didn't sample the breakfast, but it looked pretty good when we passed by the dining room in the morning. Its location is really good, about 7-10 minutes walk from the Marques de Pombal metro station which will get you pretty much everywhere, and the transport is very reasonable. The only snag we encountered was when we walked up the Avenida Duc de Loule - its the closest one to the hotel even though they say they're on the Conde Redonda.......good reason for this. All the strip joints in the city seem to be on the Duc e Loule.......but overall we had a very good stay there, and would go back again. Oh btw whoever said bring your own kettle was right - but I've yet to find a medium priced Continental hotel that provided tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.....bedlinen and towels were changed very regularly, and the room was very clean.

I have chosen this hotel for localisation and standard (4stars). In my opinion should rather be 2 or2,5 stars. Small, dark room. Damaged floor. Worst breakfasts I've ever had. Deffinietly DO NOT RECCOMEND

Just returned from a long weekend in Lisbon. Stayed at The 3K Madrid Hotel. It was clean and comfortable for a short stay. The towels and bed linen were changed daily and the small twin room and bathroom were serviced daily. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. A small fridge was provided, also there was a room safe ( free of charge). Check in and check out was quick and professional. The breakfast room was clean and bright, with plenty of choice of fruits, cereal, bread's, ham, salami and cheese. They had a toaster. Coffee and fruit juice was from self service machine. There was no bar at the hotel but you could buy water, soft drinks and alcohol from reception. There is a small sitting area there. There appeared to be a lot of restoration work in the area, dug up pavements etc. it took about 15 minutes to walk to town with bars , restaurants, shops etc. We would take a taxi back up the hill to the hotel for about €8, two of us do have mobility problems. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful during our short stay.

Stayed at 3K Madrid Hotel.
Found the location excellent, close to city centre and transport amenities.
Staff could not have been more helpful, and the room was clean, and I have no complaints.
Based upon my 2 night stay in this hotel in early April 2014, I would happily stay there again.
