Great Location both for business and for being close to the main areas. The hotel is huge ..wide open spaces , large corridors and massive rooms. The staff was exceptionally hospitable . The breakfast was good. The bathrooms seems to be too expansive for any good reasons. The shower room was tight which is in my opinion , can be upgraded. All in all though a dated hotel but with Four Seasons class

Dear ZMR,

Thank you for your review which reflects that you did enjoy your stay in our property. Evidently, this hotel is considered "La Grande Dame" of Portugal for its history, Classic Style and superb service by a team of true professional in delivering service at a high level.
Your only observation on the shower cabin size is understood as for individuals as big as myself (6"3') seem slightly tight but can move without any limitations. And being compensated by an extremely large bathrooma nd guestrooms, makes it worth staying here.

Sincerely,
Ricardo Acevedo

This beautiful, stylish and well maintained luxury property satisfies every expectation. From the friendly welcome by bellmen to the professional, helpful and very efficient front desk folks, to the hardworking housekeeping ladies, and to the restaurant wait staff it is obvious that management is focused on guest satisfaction and that they have been successful in transmitting that philosophy to their employees.

A great property, by itself, does not translate into a superior guest experience. It is the people who run it, their attitude, their competency, their attentiveness and their genuine desire to please, that differentiate it from the ordinary. We were exposed to both during our 2 day experience here in May.

Dining tip: Ask the concierge for directions to the Monte Everest restaurant just 2 blocks from the hotel. A wonderful blend of Nepalese and Indian food served in an intimate atmosphere by knowledgeable, attentive and enthusiast personnel, all while being very reasonably priced.

Exercise tip: Take a stroll around the huge Eduardo VII park, just a block from the hotel. Beautifully landscaped and with wide pathways, this is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Splendid environment to spend an hour or two to people watch, commune with nature and to gain some exercise.

Room Tip: Views in most directions are wonderful so just ask for a higher up floor.

We stayed for 3 nights with our tour group. The room was very spacious and comfortable and from the higher floors you have a great view of King Edward Park and one of the more prominent traffic circles with a giant statue. One night, after the Lisbon football team won the Portugese Cup, there was a big peaceful demonstration at the circle which was fun to watch from the hotel. The hotel is a 5 euro cab ride from central city. One advantage of this location is that it a 20 minute walk from the Gulberkian Museum, a must see in Lisbon. My wife and I took advantage of the spa and indoor pool which were as good as you can get at a top end hotel. We were very fortunate to have able to stay here with our tour group.

.

Room Tip: The higher up the better.

We are the first time to Lisbon and stayed at Four Seasons Ritz for 3 nights. An elegant hotel, clean and spacious, the services of house keeping is excellent. Location is not too convenient, have to walk down to shopping or dining areas or need to take a taxi. There is only one restaurant and a bar in the hotel, and we were wearing shorts and flip flop, so we're not allowed to have dinner at the restaurant, but sitting in the bar is ok, which we totally understand as this is a classy hotel. The park opposite to the hotel is beautiful.

There is no coffee or tea bags inside the room, not even a water kettle for boiling hot water, this is the only thing missing in the room.

The first night we arrived Lisbon, the concierge recommended a seafood restaurant to us, they have reminded us before that the restaurant is quite noisy, we went there and were asked to stand in front of the kitchen, the cook's hand, after touching the seafood, moved my husband with using his hands, trying to ask us to stand on another place. We finally left without waiting further and had our clothes washed as we feel quite uncomfortable. We think the concierge should think more before recommending guests to this type of restaurants, as this is not just noisy, but dirty and rude services. Guests would think this is the best already?? Luckily we went to a few other good restaurants otherwise would really think there's no decent restaurants in Lisbon apart from those inside the hotels.

Dear Cello B.

Apreciate your comments and I am pleased that your experience at the hotel was a positive one. We are presently in the process of defining the installation of coffee machines in each room. Today they are available in all of our suites.
WIth regards to your experience at a local restaurant, I am sure that our staff recommended a reputable "Marisquera". In good faith, they do recommend this sort of outlets as they offer a genuine and authentic Portuguese gastronomical experience that most of guests would like to experience. Yes it is crowded, loud but you will prbably agree that the seafood is superb and can't be found fresher as is. Anyway, we should have warned you in advance of what the experience would be for you to decide it worth it.
Sincerely,
Ricardo Acevedo

The suites were large, comfortable and impeccable, the service was divine, the food was outstanding, the sunny balcony was a treat, the location is perfect. Everything was exactly what I expect of a Four Seasons, but no less remarkable for it.

Room Tip: We stayed in two top-floor suites, a the very end of the hall (1044 and 1042). They suites were divine, the views were great, the balconies were wonderful, and the location at the end of the hall made them super private and quiet.
